BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

“Be strong and very courageous, that you may be successful wherever you go”.

Windy Marie Taojo was born on June 30, 1999 at Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur. She is now

18 years old and is residing at Tagum City. She started her journey as a student at San Juan

Elementary Elementary School. She has joined various contests and have won some of them.

She graduated as 3rd honors during sixth grade.

She was a former news writer on her secondary school. She still joined contests and one of it

is the Regional School’s Press Conference. She graduated as 2 nd honors during 10th grade. She

is currently studying at Tagum City National Comprehensive High School as a Senior High

School student. She loves writing and reading books. She is not that sociable and is only

talkative around her family and friends. She dreams of becoming a teacher and an influential

media artist someday. She believed that she would achieve her goals and desired by praying

and entrusting herself to God.

“Because failure isn’t an option if success is just a matter of more effort”

The author’s innate behavior is certain that no matter how many times we fail on to

something, doesn’t mean we are stuck on an incarcerated void because there are so many

ways to reach our goals through motivating oneself. He is the eldest son with two brothers of

Jerry B. Collado and Carolyn C, Collado, and was born on April 28, 2000 at Tagum City,

Davao del Norte. The author graduated t Maniki Central Elementary School SPED Center

(MCESSC) and one of the lower section student to receive a distinction.

During his Junior High School at Kapalong College of Technology, Inc. (KCTI), he become

an Editorial Writer nd Pop Ed Quiz Bee. He was transferred to the English publication “The

Expression” and elected as the Editor In-Schief on 2015. He graduated as a @nd honors at

the said school. The author is currently taking Arts and Design at Tagum City National

Comprehensive High School (TCNCHS) with the specialization of Media Arts. He pursued

his passion for writing at his current school’s publication “The Benchmark” as a Technical

Director of Radio Broadcasting team.

Jayson

Jayson Gabras Masepequina was born on December 14,1999 at Emmanuel 1, Dasmarinas

Cavite. Taking up Arts and design (Media Arts) at Tagum City National Comprehensive

High School. And is residing at Gregorio del Pilar, Maniki, Kapalong, Davao del Norte.

He is the only child of his parents..

As a part of his exposure he joined lots of contests and unfortunately he failed to won. He

graduated as sixth Honors at New Loon Elementary School. He was an MTAP and Science

quizzer and a Sports Writer during Division Schools Press Conference.

He started being photojournalist when he was still in Junior High student and won the 3 rd

place during Division Schools Press Conference. By then, he is an Regional Schools Press

conference qualifier. He had also joined many clubs and organizations in their school. He is a

volunteer and part of the Red Cross Youth Council, and had undergone Red Cross Trainings.

He is also a former Association of Young Artist President and ICT aid in their school. During

his tenth grade, he was awarded as Best in Media Arts. He is a friendly and loving person. He

dreamed of becoming Professional Film Director and a kind one.

Shane

Shane Javellana, a native of Tagum City was born on January 30,2000 and is currently at her

last year of Senior High School at Tagum City National Comprehensive High School. Shane

loves photography, infact it was the reason why she took Arts and Design track and Media

Arts as her specialization.

Shane enjoys various things including watching movies, reading books writing reviews,

applying skincare products, doing make-up, and loving indie music. She was a former

rondalla player, and an active member of PSYSC and participated at the National Science

Club Moth 2015 helt at Philippine Women’s College of Davao. She is currently the president

of Book Lovers’ Club.

Shane aims to be a good and well-known photographer. She is also planning to raise

awareness on the importance of Mental Health. She aims for a lot of things but as for now she

is still getting through Senior High School and will be attending the Philippine Women’s

College of Davao majoring in Multimedia arts in the future.

Myca

“It’s not about destiny, it’s about our choice”.

Myca Gano Subrio was born on January 4, 1999 at Tagum City, Davao del Norte. She is now

18 years old. She started her journey as a student at Union Elementary School.

She was a former football player on her secondary school. She is currently studying at

Tagum City National Comprehensive High School as a senior high student. She believed that

she could achieve her goal no matter what happends.

Jane

“Have courage and be kind”.

The author’s challenges in life were her strength towards her success because she believes

that there is a purpose in every challenge and that God had given to her. She is the eldest

daughter of Elmer Sosmena and Jocelyn (Sosmena) Alquizar, and was born on October

26,1998 at Tagum City Davao del Norte. She graduated at San Isidro Elementary School in

2011 and in 2015, she completed her junior years at San Isidro National High School.

After her junior years, the author decided to take up IT for her specialization in Senior High

but due to some circumstances she shifted to Arts and Design strand specializing Media Arts

track. Currently, she is a Grade 12 student at Tagum City National Comprehensive High

School.

Joffrel

Joffrel E. Arrocena has lived in Maniki, kapalong Davao del Norte all of his life. I believe

he’s 18 now becoming 19 next year, 2018. His talent for art came very early, learning to

sing, dance, as a small child. And while growing up, slowly he loves media thingy like

editing, graphic designing, videos and etc. He began to showcase his skills through his teens

and in during high school days. During this days, he participated activities. Member of the

Glee Club, ICT or such Media related competitions, different dance contests, etc.

In his spare time, he also enjoys fashion, being a pet lover, even outside the school he joined

KPOP Entertainments and spending time with his family. Yes he is a loving child of his

family. But above all, he’s a Christian who believes he owes his all in all to our ever living

God. He trusted God’s ways and loving Him sincerely and heartily. Ever achievements he

give back all the glory and honor to Him above.

I know Joffrel is not yet committed to what he finally wants to in the future but all I know he

hopes to be one of those professional doing graphics outside the Philippines specially in

Korea. He has this potential for he knows, he can do all things just by having God in his life

could enough.

The authors would like to extend their gratitude to the people who extended their support

towards them. To the author’’s school who permitted them to conduct their study. To the

Principal Mr. Roger A. Martinez who signed their letter of approval which enabled them to

disseminate the researcher-made questionnaire to the students. To the students who willingly

answered the questionnaire during the the authors’ conduct of the study. To Ms. Margie

Apostol, who is always there to help them on their papers. To the authors’ parents who

supported them throughout their studies and encouraging them to pursue their goals. And to

the Almighty One that reminds them that nothing is impossible if you put your trust in him.

City National Comprehensive High School, January 2018, Insights of Tagum City

National Comprehensive High School Grade 10 Students S.Y. 2017-2018 About the

Job Opportunities Offered by the Media Industry.

Research Consultant:

The gathering of the insights of the Grade 10 students was conducted in Tagum

City National Comprehensive High School to find out how the students perceive the

jobs that the media industry offers and the extent of how much they already know

about the said industry. This was done using a researcher-made questionnaire which

was distributed to the Grade 10 students. Test of preference of the respondents’

insights of the Job Opportunities was done through the percentage of their answers

on the questionnaire.

Results showed that 40% answered that they are knowledgeable about the said

specialization. 73% agreed that Media Arts extends their capabilities in learning

today’s technologies. 44% of over-all respondents answered that Media Arts is

important to them. In enhancing the capacity of learning Media Arts, 61%

encountered a situation that allowed them to learn better. 84% out of 100% believed

that the specialization can help earn a living, while 85% considered the said

specialization as a profession. 59% respondents implied on knowing someone who

succeeded in the Media Industry and 78% are aware of the jobs that can be taken by

a Media graduate, while only 28% of the respondents showed interest in the Media

Arts. Lastly, 50% of respondents agreed that Media Industry offering jobs is very

important.

Among all respondents of Grade 10 students, Media Arts gives benefit and

enhance their learnings in school. Most of them considered Media Arts as a

profession and they believed that Media Industry or the jobs it offers can help a

person earn a living. In terms of working in a Media Industry after graduation, some

doesn’t showed interest on applying to it. Insights of the Grade 10 students for

overall results were straightly positive which concluded by the researchers.

DOCUMENTATION

Over 100 respondents of the Grade10 Students of Tagum City National


Comprehensive High School answered willingly the researchers-made questionnaire for the
research paper.

“Students of Grade 10 while answering the researchers-made questionnaire”.

As for the total respondents of Grade 10, there are also 10 sections and the researchers
come up with dividing the respondents by 10 in each classroom.
