The CAD-Team is responsible for setting up the initial surface model and implementing changes to it if
necessary.
Furthermore, the CAD-Team will ensure that the read-only shared folder (AVDCADTeam) is updated with the
latest files once a week.
The CAD-Team will assist the group in integrating the different components of the aircraft.
Finally the CAD-Team will set up guidelines for modeling, integration and CAD-configuration.
The CAD integrators, whose responsibilities are described later, are those listed in the Table 1.
4. Axis System
The axis system established for the V-10 aircraft in CATIA can be seen in Figure 2.

The origin of the axis system is located at the nose tip of the aircraft and the centreline of the fuselage as shown in
Figure 2. This axis system has to be used to design and locate the components in CATIA.
5. Dimensions and Scale
6. Colour Coding
7. Part Numbering
In order to prevent inconsistencies and data loss in the global assembly, the CATIA files names should never be
changed.
Every designer is responsible for creating their individual parts and at least one assembly. The following naming
conventions shall be used:
7.1 CADPart numbering
“V10-XXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX.CATPart”
V10-Fwd_Wing_Outer(C)-001-Rib01.CATPart
“V10-XXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX.CATProduct”
V10-Fwd_Wing_Outer(C)-001-Rib01.CATProduct
“V10-XXXXX-XXX.CATProduct”
V10-Fwd_Wing_Outer(C)-001.CATProduct
