To replace the shortwave fi-lter on the UVSL-15.

place the half of the


lamp containing the filters on a flat surface with the trademark facing
upwa~ú. With a soft cloth press down gently on the filters at each end.
Thc filters will loosen under this pressure. Remove the filters. Remove
thc black tape joining the two filters together. Discard the shortwave
filler. Position the new shortwave filter against the longwave filter and
replace the black tape over the scam. Apply a small amount of cement
to both ends and s ides of the newly joined filters. Use cnough cement
to assure a tightl fit. (The cement is provided with the new filter.)
Press into place making sure that the shortwave portion of the filter is ¡' OPERATING
positioned in front of the shortwave portion of the lamp. Reassemble
the lamp.

To re place the tu he. remo ve thc face pi ate ( lower half of lamp con-
taining f il ter), as dcscribcd above. Carefully grasp the tube at both
ends, and twist one quartcr turn, until it works free. lnsert the new for the
tube, giving ita twist to lock in place. Rc-assemble the lamp.
On the UVSL-15 lamp, make certain that the short wave portion (clear UVS-11, UVSL-15, UVSL-25
part) of the tube beams through the short wave glass.
On..rhe UVSL-25, make certain that the new short wavc tube is placed
on the correct side. Replace the tubes just as they are removed.
