ABSTRACT
Global warming impacts the environment, the use of alternative energies offers a solution to the environment and
its environment, the designs of solar collection systems are a favorable solution, but these face problems in
mechanical design because they are heavy and large mechanisms, the use of artificial intelligence and specifically
artificial neural networks to improve solar collector systems, generate a significant proposal for its use as described
in this article.
Keywords: Artificial Neural Networks, Solar Energy Collectors, Autonomous Systems.

1. Introduction
Mexico is considered one of the countries with the best solar radiation conditions and for this reason studies have been
developed in recent years for the maximum use of solar energy.
The feasibility of producing, assembling, testing and installing photovoltaic modules in order to generate electricity in
mainly rural communities has been demonstrated. In Mexico, luminaires have been installed in more than 122
children's shelters in the State of Chihuahua, specifically in the Sierra. Tarahumara and in six other states, as well as
different tele-secondary schools in the Sierra de Puebla, Oaxaca, Veracruz, or food for the communication systems of
the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT).
The use of technologies, such as artificial intelligence, allows solar collection systems to be efficient and autonomous,
with the design and implementation
of artificial neural networks, and multivariate analysis, better results are achieved in the individual movements of the
solar panels. The network responds independently in each of the cells for each panel, it is known that each panel can
contain between 500 and 1000 cells, depending on the design of the solar collector system panel, so better solar
collection results are expected in industry, with the use and implementation of artificial neural networks.

2. Method Description
The solar collector systems work with photovoltaic photocells, the positions with respect to the sun, calculation of the
angle of solar and terrestrial rotation.

The arrangements and electronic and electrical design, and in programming syntax in microcontrollers, PLCs and even
microprocessors.

The use of artificial neural networks offer systems improvement options, the arrangements work to solve a task, by
implementing the use of artificial neural networks, they solve multitasking, receiving many input signals, to be
processed by the artificial neural network, presenting an improvement in the solar collection analysis process as an
output.

3. Problem Statement
The models proposed for solar collectors are considered with respect to: latitude, longitude, altitude and orthogonal
orientation that is variable by the path that the earth has with respect to the sun. (Table 1) Designs work mainly by:
1. Sensor array that allows you to measure the intensity of light by varying the voltage (Fig. 1)
2. Proportional derivative control (PID) (Fig. 2)

3. Microcontroller programming (Fig. 3)

These models work on the solar concentrator system in a general and unified way. The artificial neural network works
independently and multivariate in the input sensors, offering greater certainty in the reading of data, capture and
conversion of solar energy with greater efficiency.

Collector and RNA motion analysis. The solar concentrator consists of rigid longitudinal structural models such as: L1,
L2, L3 and L4 and of the masses m1, m2, m3 and m4. Proportional coupled for the rotation of the solar concentrator
system.

It is coupled with the dynamics of the solar concentrator using the Euler-La-Grange equations of motion, described
below as: H (q) q´ + c (q, q´) q´ + Dq´ + g (q) = t - tp. Where (f) is the vector of inertial forces (m) is the mass matrix
and (u) is the acceleration vector

The displacements and can be formulated as show in the figure (4):

f Sb  k ba  u a  k bb  u b  k bc  u c
f Sc  k ca  u a  k cb  u b  k cc  u c

The implementation of Neural Networks is with the interaction of the tools in graphic environment provided by
MATLAB and the NNSYSID software with which different architectures can be implemented in software (see figure
6), where the interface with the number of neurons is instructed in the hidden layer, in the output layer, activation
functions, training algorithms among other variables.

In the Figure 10 shows the flow diagram of implementing an artificial neural network in a solar collector system, for
precision of the rotational movements of the collector, with the implementation of the RNA the efficiency of greater
solar energy capture is improved, reducing the unnecessary movements in the x, y, and z axes, for a better angle of
incidence with respect to solar radiation.

4. Importance and impact for the industry

The use and application of artificial neural networks in solar collection systems, obtain greater efficiency and
significant savings for energy in the industry.
The results of this research provide an overview for industry and future research.
There is a reduction in energy collection costs and better efficiency in solar collector systems.

5. General Conclusions
The use of artificial intelligence is increasing, according to technological development, the design and implementation
of RNA to solar collector systems, it offers an improvement in the processing and analysis of data, for better efficiency
and reduction of errors, providing a certainty In energy collection, the use of RNAs applied to solar collectors can be
improved if it is designed in multivariable systems of input sensors, focused on altitude, rotation and translation angles,
movement speed, dynamics of forces, solar positioning, among others.
