PREFACE

As a partial fulfilment of the MBA program, we need to make report on topic ONLINE
MARKETING in subject SALES AND DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT. This project
was undertaken during our 3rd semester of MBA (pharmaceuticals). This project work is
basically meant to acquire knowledge about the Online Marketing and how it is useful to gear
up for business.

Preparing this project report is a good learning experience for us wherein we came to know
about the various new aspects of online marketing and their uses.

We feel great pleasure in submitting this report. We hope you will accept and appreciate our
efforts.

We heartily thank the College who has provided us this wonderful opportunity of making a
project on ONLINE MARKETING. This opportunity has made us have deep insight
knowledge about benefits of internet marketing.

We would like to convey much thanks to our Professor Kavita Saxsena, who has acquainted
us with all the facilities needed by a student while preparing a project report. He has also
guided us properly, and it is because of his valuable guidance that we are much comfortable
with the Topic.

And a special thanks to Prof. Nikunj Nayak, Faculty (MM), who made us use the college
equipments in a proper way, whenever needed and has helped us out with the problems and
confusions arising while preparing the report. He also helps us and guides us about the
operating computer and use it in a proper way.

We are also thankful to our parents who give us full facilities that we require to make this
complete project.

Of course, we are thankful to the team member, who through their mutual understanding and
proper co-ordination, given a lot to the project and it is their sincere efforts which have led to
the project completion.

Executive Summery
This report explores how online marketing reduces marketing costs while improving lead
quality and volume, and provides detailed metrics for measurement and further improvement.
Internet marketing, also referred to as i-marketing, web-marketing, online-marketing or e-
Marketing, is the marketing of products or services over the Internet.

The Internet has brought media to a global audience. The interactive nature of Internet
marketing in terms of providing instant responses and eliciting responses are the unique
qualities of the medium. Internet marketing is sometimes considered to be broad in scope
because it not only refers to marketing on the Internet, but also includes marketing done via
e-mail and wireless media. Management of digital customer data and electronic customer
relationship management (ECRM) systems are also often grouped together under internet
marketing.
Internet marketing ties together creative and technical aspects of the Internet,
including: design, development, advertising, and sales.
