RULES IN COMPOSTING
Sort waste and use only biodegradable.
Do not burn on top of piles as this will kill the decomposers and delay the
process.
Keep moist or moderately wet but not soggy.
Mix sprinkle or layer with soil
Allow air access.
REMEMBER
ANAEROBIC DIGESTION
-is a biological breakdown of organic matter by a consortium of
bacteria, in the absence of oxygen which produces a mixture of methane and
CO2.
TAKE NOTE
Anaerobic means without air
 Biogas is a type of gas which is cleaner and has higher methane content.

 Warming up stage 40-60 degree until it reaches the peat (73 degree)

STEPS
Reduce the biodegradable waste into finer portion.
Place it in a compost pit or in the different composters (ex. Plastic bags, big
drums, clay pot)
Small amount of water is needed to lessen the micro-biogically
Add a layer soil on top to avoid odor
Speed, turn the pile at least 1 or 2 ( to provide air)
Always check the consistency of the pile
