Medical, Dental & Vision

Just like different content is streamed around the globe, we recognize that medical benefits work
differently based on the country you live in. You may have medical offered through Netflix only,
you may have a supplemental plan through Netflix that compliments a local insurance scheme,
or you may have a monthly allowance to purchase benefits on your own. No matter what the case
is, we make sure that you’re covered.

Netflix provides you with health insurance through Religare, with coverage beginning on your
hire date. Coverage includes inpatient treatment, outpatient coverage and maternity. All pre-
existing diseases are covered from day one. The Sum Insured (annual limit) is INR 800,000 per
family. There is also a Double Sum Insured clause that provides an additional INR 800,000 in
coverage for specific critical illnesses. Netflix also offers a corporate buffer of INR 2M should
extra coverage be needed. There is no cost to you or your family to join this plan.

Behavioral Health Support


At Netflix, we know you want to produce work you are proud of. In order to perform your best,
you have to feel your best. That is why we provide unlimited coaching through Ginger;
meditation and mindfulness resources through Headspace; and access to free therapy,
counseling, and work-life referrals through the EAP. With some health insurance plans, you may
be able to utilize your medical benefits for additional therapy visits. Check out your medical plan
to see if this is offered.

Business Travel
Netflix provides benefits to protect your safety and security when traveling outside of the
country you work. We offer both a travel concierge service through International SOS and
emergency medical coverage through the Cigna Medical Benefits Abroad plan.

Retirement Pension
We help you save for retirement by contributing to the Employee Provident Fund (“EPF”) each
month through payroll. Netflix will also deduct from your salary each month to satisfy your
employee contribution to the EPF.

Employee Giving
At Netflix, you have the ability to impact the world through the work you do. And we realize you
may also want to make an impact in a more personal way. In the spirit of freedom and
responsibility, you choose the organization(s) important to you, and Netflix will match your
contribution $2 dollars for every $1 you donate up to $20,000 (or local currency equivalent) in
2020.
Stock Option Program (SOP)
The Netflix Stock Option Program (SOP) is unique. At Netflix, we believe in top-of-personal-
market pay and providing employees with a choice in the degree to which they participate in
equity investment and its related risks.

Overview

A stock option is the right to purchase a share of Netflix stock at a locked-in price.
The purpose of the SOP is to allow you to accumulate options and then exercise them
later when the price of the underlying Netflix stock has risen.

There are two components of the SOP:

 Free options. If you are a salaried employee, Netflix will automatically allocate
an amount equal to 5% of your annual salary to the SOP at no cost to you. During
your first year at Netflix, this allocation is prorated from your hire date.
 Supplemental Allocation. If you’re a salaried or hourly employee, you can
direct as much of your salary or wages as you would like to the Annual Supplemental
Stock Option Allocation (Supplemental Allocation) in exchange for stock options,
subject to certain exceptions such as minimum wage requirements.

Disability
Netflix provides disability coverage to replace 100% of your income for up to three months if
you are unable to work due to illness or injury. If a disabling injury (work or non-work-related)
due to an accident extends beyond three months, you’ll be eligible for the company-paid
personal accident coverage through Religare.

when an employee passes away. We're asked how this benefit came to be, and the answer is
simple: When the need arose. After an employee working at Netflix passed away suddenly,
Netflix provided a $1 million benefit (this increased to $1.5 million in 2018) to the family to help
lessen their worry. That decision has since become Netflix practice.

Leaves of Absence
Whether you need time to care for a sick family member, to care for yourself or to bond with a
new baby or child, Netflix offers generous paid time away for these priorities. We are here to
support you during these times.

Parental Leave

Welcoming a new child is one of the most special moments in a person’s life. We want you to be
present and enjoy your growing family.

If you’re a salaried employee, you’ll receive 100% of your salary while you’re away from work
to care and bond with your new child. You’ll work with your manager and business partner to
determine the amount of time away. If you’re an hourly employee, you’ll receive 24 weeks of
paid time off.

Family Forming
Netflix offers a global family forming benefit to support you during your fertility, surrogacy, or
adoption journey. This benefit is available to all full time, regular Streaming employees and their
spouse/domestic partner, regardless of marital status, gender, or sexual orientation. We recognize
these pathways are challenging from both a financial and emotional perspective. To support this
journey, we have partnered with Carrot, who will help provide guidance and support in order to
remove distractions so that you can be more productive and focus on solving problems and doing
great work at Netflix. Netflix also offers an allowance through Carrot to support you in covering
the costs of your family forming journey.

Work Not Drive


We know your time is limited and invaluable. And we want to help you work
effectively and efficiently. That's why we subsidize commuting expenses via rideshare
services, giving you some extra time in your day to get work done. We pay for all
full-time employees to commute between home and work via Uber, Lyft, Grab Taxi
or any other rideshare service. There's no limit to how often you can use this service.
The Work Not Drive fare we pay for a rideshare service is taxable income to you, so
even though you don't pay the fare, you will incur the cost of the taxable amount of
that fare  .

Flexible Time Off


When it comes to your life, it’s not our place to dictate what things are important to
you. We don’t have a set holiday or vacation schedule. Instead, we believe in
providing freedom and responsibility, giving you the power to choose when you need
to take time off. When something’s being delivered or repaired, do what you need to
do. When you’re sick, take the time to get better. The same goes if a child or partner is
sick. Take care of them so your mind is clear and focused when you’re back at work.
Just let others know where you are (we worry) and how you’re balancing work.

If you're a salaried employee, you have unlimited time off. When you need time away,
just let others know where you are and how you're balancing work.
If you're a full-time hourly employee, you'll accrue 35 days per year (8.75 days per
quarter). If you're a part-time hourly employee, you accrue 50% of the full-time rate.
