OPERATOR BASIC CARE TASKS

1. Visually inspect all gages and indicators for proper diesel engine

& generator operation.

2. Verify and record suspicious reading and investigate for abnormal

conditions

3. walk around visual safety inspection is recommended to ensure

that no foreign objects are lying on, in, or around the package

4. Check for lube oil or fuel leakage around the engine, determine

and eliminate the cause of any leakage

5. Inspect the lubrication system visually as follows and correct

any faults immediately :

 Check the volume and possible contamination of the engine oil

 Check the use of lubricated oil

 Check oil working pressure and temperature to lubricate

 Check for possible system oil leaks

 Drain and refill oil lube engine

 Replace the oil filter and seal kit

6. Inspect the cooling system visually as follows and correct any

faults immediately :

 Check the water level on the Radiator tank

 Check for possible system cooling water leaks

 Check the pressure and working temperature of the cooling water

7. Inspect the intake & exhaust system visually as follows and

correct any faults immediately :

 Check for gas or oil leaks in the system

 Check the temperature and color of the exhaust gas

 Check the air pressure incoming condition

8. Check the fuel supply and pressure to ensure the diesel supplay

is eduquate for combustion engine

9. Check air inlet system and filter for obstructions and

contamination

10. Inspect package for unusual noise, discoloration, cracks, and

chafing lines.

11. Inspect the electrical system visually as follows and correct any

faults immediately :

 Check the indicator lights function, replace if required

 Check the operation buttons and emergency stop function buttons

 Check the condition of the output connection cable

 Check and provide rust and mildew attached to the battery head

/ battery

 Check the water level of the battery for the starter motor

 Check foreign sounds when the generator is working

 Check the mains output voltage

12. If any seals or O-rings show wear or damage, replace immediately

13. Walk around inspection to check for any possible leaks, tools and

rags left in the engine package

14. Start-up unit, record important parameters for base line data and

reset running hours (sincronize the record with step 1-2)

15. Clean up the work area & tools
