‘’SIMPLE SENTENCE”

A simple sentence is composed of the most basic elements that complete a sentence
which is a subject and a verb. Simple sentences are called as it is because it can only
consist of one subject and one verb or predicate. A predicate is a part of a sentence or
clause that contains the verb.

A simple sentence is composed of a single independent clause with a subject and a

verb or predicate that expresses a complete thought or idea. Simple sentences must
only have one subject-verb combination but it does not mean that a subject could not
have one or more element.

There are a lot of misconceptions about simple sentences and one of it is that simple
sentences could not be long enough than five words. A simple sentence is ‘simple’ and
not ‘short’, it is not defined by the number of words used in order to make up a single
simple sentence. A simple sentence could be short but expresses complicated thought
or idea and it could also be lengthy with an uncomplicated thought or idea.

Example simple sentence in biology :

- In biology class, we studied the human body and how it works.

-Every student of biology, anatomy, anthropology, ethnology or psychology is

familiar with these facts.

- He took a degree in microbiology and then a PhD in aquatic biology at Durham

University before joining the water authority as a scientist.

- Darwinian biology explained how humans evolved from other life forms, and

Mendelian genetics showed how defective traits were inherited.

- Identifying the structure of DNA triggered a revolution in biology that is still

continuing today.

- The soil biology is composed of a great variety of microorganisms, fungi and

mesofauna which have daily food and energy requirements that must be met.

- This research illustrates microbial instability in hospital water line from point of
heterotroph bacteriaamplification.

- Infections with bacteria or viruses can give rise to an acute inflammation of a

joint.

- Take, for example, malaria, which involves infection by a parasitetransmitted by

mosquitoes.

- A virus is a parasite, which needs a host cell to live in, and a microbe is a
bacterium, which is a living cell in its own right.

- The gene is needed for the parasiteto progress to the next stage of its life cycle and
eventually to cause the disease.

- Things on the other side of the ledger, at a ph above 7, are alkaline.

- A heterotroph has a range of meanings in biology: An organismwhich requires

complex external sources for nutrition.

- Transgenic induction can alter the realized niche without escape as long as the
transgenic organism cannot obtain novel resources.

- A biome is a biotic area with homogeneous features, characterized by distinctive

plants, animal species and climate.

- Linnaeus described only five speciesof oak from eastern North America, based on
general leaf form.

- Darwin had not labelled the finches by island, but from the notes of others on the
Beagle, including FitzRoy, he allocated species to islands.

- The area is a complex and beautiful ecosystem of coastal forest, mangrove, rivers

and lagoons.

- This fish is vital to the reef ecosystem as a predator of smaller fish, lobster, crab,
octopus, and shrimp.

- The ability of DNA polymerases to replicate DNA requires a number of additional

accessory proteins.

- The long DNA chain is naturally compacted in a dense form in most biological

systems.

- The ecologic niche of the brush rabbit is in brush where the plants form

continuous thickets with little open ground.
- The smaller the island, the fewer the number of ecologic niches and the fewer the
kinds of birds present.
