Did you know that 1 out of every ten women-owned businesses are
Latina? The Latino community has an entrepreneurial spirit that we see
primarily in local immigrant communities.

LULAC’s Latina Entrepreneur Academy (LEA ) trains and inspires women,

especially those of Hispanic descent, to build their businesses or enhance
their existing ones.

Today we’re honored to showcase the fantastic story of LEA Alumni

Monica Beaudette.

Monica grew up in a small town in California’s central valley; she was the
eldest of 4 siblings raised by a single mother. She graduated from
Patterson High School in 1999 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. In 2017
began a consulting business with her husband, Gary. The consulting
company, Beaudette Consulting Incorporated (BCI) which works with local
industries to train and implement lean business philosophy (safety,
efficiency, and continuous improvement).

Monica addresses how LULAC’s work has impacted her and her
business.

By supporting LULAC during Hispanic Heritage Month, you’ll be

supporting many women like Monica across the country to launch their
businesses with the support of mentors, business leaders, and their
peers!

but build the skills to continue that growth in the future.
