PRESENT PERFECT – tense : job interview

Context : Is used to talk about experiences what a person, a company, an animal, etc has done.
It is the equivalent in Spanish to the expression: he, hemos, ha, han
Notice that it is not a present, past or future, it expresses a connection between present and past.

I work everyday: simple present – rutines


I worked yesterday: simple past – finished actions
I will work tomorrow
I am going to work tomorrow

There are 2 important elements in the present perfect:

1. Auxiliaries 2. Verbs

Have and has Verbs of the 3rd column :


They are not verb (tener) participle
They are the auxiliar

travelled
Has: she, he, it

Expressions used with the present perfect tense:


Already (ya): I have already gone to Medellín : I have gone to Medellin
Just (acabar de) : I have just finished the explanation
Never (nunca): I have never worked in a hospital (-)
Ever (alguna vez): I have ever gone to the beach …… have you ever gone to the beach?
Yet (aún - todavía), only in negative sentences: I haven´t gone to Europe yet

I´ve already driven a car, the last year I was with my father, we were travelling to Cartagena and in certain
moment my father told me: hey! Do you want to drive? I was very excited because it was my first time but I did it
good.
