Introduction
In mounting the DADF on a copier, observe
the following instructions:
1. Make sure that the installation of the
copier is already complete. Connector cover
2. Keep the copier unplugged from the
power outlet.
3. Use screws of the correct kinds (length
and diameter) and in the correct posi-
tions.
4. Used toothed washers, where appropriate,
to prevent static charges. Fig. 2-2

close the DADF gently. Caution:
Keep the copier unplugged from the power
outlet.

4 Specifications and Adjustment
5) Open the DADF gently to check to see if
distance l5, shown below, falls within the 4.1 DADF Height Adjustment
tolerable range (11.0 ± 1 mm).
1) Detach the rear cover from the copier. With the
Copyboard glass
DADF closed (both left and right front rubber
feet in contact with the copyboard glass), adjust
the left and right supports by turning the
corresponding bolts so the spacing between the
rear rubber feet (left and right) and the front
length index plate on the copyboard glass is a =
0.2 ± 0.1 mm (about large enough to permit two
Copy paper
sheets of copy paper (64 g/m2) to be inserted).
Then, lock the supports by tightening the nuts.
