Terms and Conditions

General Information

1. Guests are requested to present valid photo identific ation for all guests, including c hildren and infants. The only
ac ceptable proof of identific ation for International flights would be a valid passport.
2. Spic eJet’s Sc hedules are subject to c hange and regulatory authority approvals.
3. Spic eJet will not be liable in any way for delays/ canc ellations/ diversions whether due to bad weather,
government regulation or for instances beyond SpiceJet’s control. Further, Spic eJet operates on a point-to-point
basis and will also not be responsible for the consequence of delays including onward journey on a connec ting
mode of c onveyance.
4. Spic eJet will not and does not provide hotel ac commodation / meals / transportation in c ase of delays/

canc ellations for any reason whatsoever.
5. All new taxes/c harges levied by the Government of India or any statutory body subsequent to the date of booking
and applic able on the date of travel shall be c harged and payable separately.
6. Spic eJet requests that at the point of reservation the Guest provides the airline or it’s Authorized Agent with a
contac t number (valid mobile number) for eac h city in the Guests’ itinerary inc luding the applicable c ountry and
area codes.

Booking

1. For Bookings made directly with travel agents a non-refundable transaction fee will be c ollec ted by them towards
the booking.
2. Bookings made under Spec ial Return Fare may be cancelled only prior to using the out bound flight. However,
flight(s) may be c hanged by paying a fee and the difference in fare between the original and the c urrent available
fare similar to the Regular Fare ticket.

For Domestic Travel

3. Bookings made under the Armed Forces quota are non-c ancelable and non-c hangeable. Armed Forc es bookings are
not applic able on international travel.
4. For bookings made using non-Indian credit c ards it is mandatory for one of the traveling Guests to be the c ard
holder and the c redit card used when booking is to be c arried to the airport for physical verific ation. In the
absenc e of the c redit card or identity mismatc h, Guests will not be allowed to board the flight.

For International Travel

5. Certain fares have c onditions which limit or exclude the Guests’ right to c hange or c ancel reservations.
6. Currently SpiceJet does not have provisions for accommodating stretchers, human remains and pets
hence carriage of the same for International travel is not permitted.

Changes and Cancellation

1. Name c hanges on a c onfirmed booking are stric tly prohibited. Please ensure that the name given at the time of
booking matches the name as mentioned on the traveling Guest’s valid photo ID.
2. Changes/c ancellation to a booking may be done up to 2 hours prior to the departure of the flight
3. A fee of INR 750 per Guest per one way (or equivalent loc al c urrency of the departure country) plus the difference
in fare (if any) between the original and the c urrent available fare would be charged towards the c hanges.
4. A fee of INR 750(or equivalent local c urrenc y of the departure country) per Guest per one way would be deduc ted
towards the canc ellation of a booking. The balanc e amount may be utilized for any booking up to a year from the
date of canc ellation. The Guest may opt for a refund of the balanc e amount.
5. The Credit Shell c an only be used by c alling Spic eJet’s Guest Sales & Reservations department at 9871803333. The
booking reference number /PNR number needs to be quoted when utilizing the amount now available as credit with
Spic eJet.

Check-in

1. It is advisable to reach the airport and check-in at the earliest possible to avoid any rush or
inconvenience.

For Domestic Travel

2. Spic eJet rec ommends that Guests report for Check-in at least 2 hours prior to the departure of the sc heduled
flight. The Guest’s journey will be smoother if they allow themselves ample time to comply with the Chec k-in
Deadlines. Spic eJet reserves the right to canc el a Guest’s reservation if they do not comply with the Check-in
Deadlines indic ated. Spic eJet or its Authorized Agents will advise Guests of the Chec k-in Deadline.
3. Chec k-in closes 45 minutes prior to the sc heduled departure of the flight. Failure to c heck-in within the stipulated
time limit will result in forfeiture of the tic ket amount.

For International Travel

4. Spic eJet rec ommends that Guests report for Check-in at least 3 hours prior to the departure of the sc heduled
flight. The Guest’s journey will be smoother if they allow themselves ample time to comply with the Chec k-in
Deadlines. Spic eJet reserves the right to canc el a Guest’s reservation if they do not comply with the Check-in
Deadlines indic ated. Spic eJet or its Authorized Agents will advise Guests of the Chec k-in Deadline.
5. Chec k-in closes 01 hour prior to the sc heduled departure of the flight. Failure to chec k-in within the stipulated
time limit will result in forfeiture of the tic ket amount.
6. Any Guest c onnec ting to or from Spic eJet flights from the domestic to the international route or vice versa would
have to adhere to the following:
1. SpiceJet would not be responsible for any delay due to immigration/custom c learance leading to a missed
onward connec tion. The Guest may have to purc hase a new tic ket.

2. The boarding c ard for the final international leg of journey would be issued only at the last departing
station.

Baggage

1. Free baggage allowanc e on SpiceJet is as follows:


Hand Baggage: One piece of c abin baggage of maximum weight of 10 kgs (maximum 115 c m in overall dimensions
(L+W+H) is permitted per Guest. No cabin baggage is allowed on flights originating from Jammu and
Srinagar airports. Check-in Baggage: Chec ked baggage of maximum 20 kgs is permitted per Guest. Baggage in
excess of 20 kg would be c harged at the current applic able excess baggage rate and c arriage of the same would
be further be subjec t to space availability.
2. Spic eJet assumes no liability for fragile or perishable artic les. The airline assumes no liability for wear and tear to
luggage (scratc hes, torn zippers, straps, wheels, handles, sc uffs, dents, soiling or manufac turing defects).
3. It is recommended that all valuables (e.g. c amera, jewelry, c ash, elec tronic s, perishables items, etc.) and
medication shall be carried in c abin baggage. SpiceJet assumes no responsibility for any pilferage/ damage to
valuables inc ase they are c arried in c heck-in baggage and the passenger shall be doing so at their sole risk and
consequenc es
4. Spic eJet’s liability for loss of baggage is limited to Rs.200 per kg subjec t to maximum of Rs.4000 only (or equivalent
loc al currenc y of the departure c ountry).

Special Assistance

1. Expectant mothers may travel up to and inc luding 27th week of pregnanc y. Fit to fly certificate from a medical
prac titioner will be required in case an expec tant mother is flying with Spic eJet during 28 to 35 weeks of
pregnancy. Expec tant mothers who have c ompleted 36 weeks and above are not allowed to travel with SpiceJet.
2. Guests requiring wheelchair assistance, stretc her, Guests traveling with infants and Unac companied Minors need to
be booked in advance sinc e the inventory for these special servic e requests are limited per flight. Please call
Spic eJet’s Guest Sales and Reservations numbers for further assistance.
