1. Enlist major advantages and disadvantages of Qualitative Data analysis.

(250 words)

Advantages of Qualitative Data

1. It helps in-intensity evaluation: Qualitative facts accumulated provide the researchers with a detailed
analysis of challenge subjects. While amassing qualitative records, the researchers tend to probe the
individuals and might accumulate sufficient statistics by way of asking the right kind of questions. From a
series of questions and solutions, the facts this is gathered is used to finish.

2. Understand what customers assume: Qualitative statistics helps the market researchers to
understand the attitude in their clients. The use of qualitative information gives organizations a
perception into why a client purchased a product. Understanding client language allows marketplace
studies infer the records accumulated more systematically.

3. Rich records: Collected records can be used to conduct studies in the future as well. Since the
questions asked to acquire qualitative records are open-ended questions, respondents are unfastened
to express their opinions, main to extra facts.

4. Creates openness: encouraging people to make bigger on their responses can open up new topic
areas no longer to start with taken into consideration

Disadvantages of Qualitative Data

1. Time-consuming: As accumulating qualitative facts is greater time ingesting, fewer humans are
studying in contrast to accumulating quantitative information. Unless time and price range permit, a
smaller sample length is included.

2. Not easy to generalize: Since fewer people are studied, it's miles hard to generalize the effects of that
populace.

3.Dependent on the researcher’s abilities: This sort of statistics is amassed through one-to-one
interviews, observations, focus agencies, and so on. It is predicated on the researcher’s competencies
and revel in to collect facts from the sample.

4.Difficult to make systematic comparisons: as an instance, if human beings provide extensively

differing responses which can be rather subjective.
2. Interpret the results using descriptive statistics for job category and salary
Interpretation of the result

We use the mean to define the sample with a single value that signifies the center of the data. Many
statistical analyses use the mean as a standard measure of the center of the distribution of the data.

The median and the mean both measure central tendency. When we have unusual values, we can
compare the mean and the median to decide which is the better measure to use. If our data are
symmetric, the mean and median are similar.

 In the above output window of SPSS, we have the result of Descriptive Statistics of our dataset
and we have chosen mean, minimum, maximum, and standard deviation to compare the data.
 Our variables are job category and salary and we have used descriptive statistics to compare
these two. N donates number of values; Minimum donates there is only 1 minimum job
category and maximum salary is $57,000 and 2 maximum job categories.
 Our Mean for job category is 1.93 and salary is $32,050.
 Our Standard Deviation is .267 and salary is $10,074.
