Lewanna's planning reflects knowledge and understanding of student’s needs and interests. Lewanna's deep knowledge
of the curriculum has allowed her to differentiate the curriculum in order to accommodate the learning styles and
capabilities of students. Lewanna's caring and warm nature has allowed her to rapidly establish relationships with
students which has assisted her to accomodate for students and differentiate learning tasks.

Lewanna's planning reflects knowledge and understanding of student’s needs and interests. Lewanna's wide-ranging
knowledge of the curriculum has allowed her to differentiate the curriculum in order to accommodate the learning styles
and capabilities of students. Lewanna uses a range of strategies to engage students and open ended learning tasks to
challenge students and provide opportunities for different access points. She provides opportunities for students to work
in different ways such as individual, small groups and whole class instruction.

Lewanna has attended professional development sessions and contributed in professional conversations with
colleagues. Lewanna has regularly engaged in professional conversations with other students at our site, shared ideas,
strategies and debriefed. She has consistently demonstrated a high level of professionalism and highly ethical
behaviour and has had positive interactions with parents/carers and the broader community. Lewanna has attended all
staff meetings and assisted in yard supervision. She has engaged with other staff members including leadership, other
teachers and school services officers. Lewanna consistently uses a range behaviour management strategies to support
students in ensuring that they are on task and engaged in their learning. She has consistently displayed initiative helping
out with a variety of tasks.

6) Professional Experience Context

The placement was set in Swallowcliffe Primary School, located in the northern district of Adelaide. In relation to the
socio-economic standing in the school community, approximately 70% of our students are on school card, a growing
number of students are from non-English speaking backgrounds and a small percentage of students are recognised as
Aboriginal. The school has a current enrolment of approximately 405 students.

7) Summative Comments by Supervising Teacher/s

Lewanna has consistently shown a high level of professionalism and initiative. She effectively planned and implemented
a series of lessons that reflected a deep knowledge of the curriculum, student’s needs and interests. Lewanna
consistently uses a range behaviour management strategies to support students and ensure that they are on task and
engaged in their learning. She has consistently displayed initiative helping out with a variety of tasks. Lewanna has
engaged in dialogue and professional development to improve her practice. I have seen consistent growth in her
teaching skills and confidence throughout her placement. It has been an absolute pleasure mentoring Lewanna and she
will be sorely missed by the students.

8) Summative Comments by Site Coordinator

Lewanna has had a successful placement at Swallowcliffe. She has undertaken the necessary requirements and
carried out all roles and responsibilities to a high degree, including teaching, attending yard duty, staff meetings and PD.
Lewanna has developed positive relationships with the students in the class and they have responded warmly to her. It
has been a pleasure to host Lewanna at Swallowcliffe for her placement and we wish her all the best in her future
studies and career.
