COCONUT-CORN INTERCROPPING PROJECT

Schedule of Availability of the Service:

Monday-Friday
8:00 - 5:00 p.m. without noon break

Who may avail of the project:

Coconut farmers
Coconut Farmers Organizations/SUCs

What are the requirements:

1. Must have at least 0.5 ha. of coconut land available and suitable for corn intercropping
2. Must be willing to adopt recommended farm practices/technologies.
3. Must be willing to accept and properly utilized agri-inputs (corn seeds/soil inoculants)
4. Provide a counterpart in the form of labor for land preparation and farm maintenance and other supplies and materials (i.e. fertilizers/pesticides).
5. Upon harvest, must save and set aside the equivalent volume of corn seeds received for distribution to other farmers.
