How many people don’t have energy in Africa or middle east?
Around one billion people don’t have access to electricity. In India 269 million people either haven’t electricity
or lack of having access to electricity in full time. In Nigeria 75 million people who don’t have energy also. In
Ethiopia and Bangladesh 130 million people who don’t have access to energy as well. These figures have been
illustrated in 2014 and the issue is still going, mostly in Africa by now.
One of the main reasons that deny these people from having their human rights of getting electricity is being
poor, and governments only care about their selves in these areas by stealing these poor people. Another reason
is they have lack of education and environmental awareness to be creative and find other sources to create
energy, which leave them with no electricity except the light of the sun that they be grateful for, to use it in
good ways such as showing them the roads to bring food.

As humanity how can we help these poor people to provide them electricity?
We will have been initiating an electrical company in their areas to provide them with electricity service, but
eventually they will end up in the same issue, because these companies are just looking for profits, so the
question remains how can we help these poor people?

What we plan to do is to provide them with renewable energy such as PV panels and wind turbines. Africa is
close to equator line which we would hazard a guess that the sunset is around 8:00 pm. The aim of the project is
installing PV panels to provide them electricity by using sunlight, but what should they do in night when there
is no sunlight? How about if we combine our ideas, and install wind turbines as well. We all know the winds in
Africa by night is great and by that we can generate electricity at night also without installing batteries to the
project. The most important thing is that you can’t steal or gain profit from it and also the parts of the project
will be protected in safe area.

So, basically, what we’re proposing here is to do a project that helps poor people in Africa who don’t have
access to electricity without any cost. Installing hybrid system from PV panels and Wind turbines to be able to
generate electricity day and night. Therefore, this project will absolutely have 0 cost.
