ASSESSMENT INSTRUCTIONS
1. The assessment is divided into two parts: Assessment 2A (Presentation Outline – 10%) and Assessment
2B (Technical Oral Presentation – 20%). READ BOTH INSTRUCTIONS 2A and 2B CAREFULLY IN THEIR
ENTIRETY.

2. For this assessment, you are required to deliver a technical oral presentation describing a product at a
product exhibition. You have TWO options.

● OPTION 1: Choose a product from a list provided by your INSTRUCTOR.

● OPTION 2: Choose a latest, existing product (i.e. the product release date must be less than a year
or 12 months).

1. Whichever the OPTION you chose, the product is to be presented to suit both technical and non-
technical audience.

2. You must be clear on the context of your presentation (i.e., name of exhibition/event) and the
company you are representing.

3. Then prepare a Presentation Outline, which you will use as a guide when designing your Infographic
and when presenting your technical oral presentation.

ASSESSMENT 2A: PRESENTATION OUTLINE

With a partner, or in a group of three depending on the number of students in your class, you must do the
following:

1) Select an OPTION and research the product thoroughly.

2) Identify the technical description of the unique parts, how each part works OR how to use each part
depending on the chosen parts.
3) Consult your instructor for approval of your product by Week 6, the 2nd meeting.
4) Upon approval, prepare a presentation outline inclusive of relevant visuals. Download the
presentation outline template from KALAM.
5) The presentation outline should be around 5 to 7 pages excluding the cover page.
6) Submit your presentation outline in Week 8, the 1st meeting.
