The Novel - Coronavirus or known as COVID-19 continues to give an impact not only to the lives
of many people, but also to the different establishments and companies. In just 3 months a lot of
business owners were left to a no choice but to file bankruptcy or lay-off employees due to no
customers and profit. As the number of cases continues to grow, the rate of unemployment also
increases. In the current situation that we face, do we choose employment over immunity, or we can
choose both?

Choosing to be healthy and free from this virus is a priority but of course, having a salary and
being able to provide for the family’s needs especially in this time of crisis is the top priority. Our family
business, Plus In Us Philippines will soon launch a food supplement for immunity and beauty. It contains
Astaxanthin that is proven to be 6000 times stronger than Vitamin C and 550 times better than Vitamin
E, it also comes with Glutathione and Pearl Extract. We recently started our marketing through the use
of online platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The company kicked-off with the tagline “Immunity
and beauty” and the marketing team continues to post at least 2-4 times a day. What we post online are
reminders of how immunity is important today, the benefits of Astaxanthin, how should one value
health and beauty, and lastly, a message that we will get through this. In this time of crisis, the best way
to market a product is by, sharing positive thoughts and messages. A lot of people are lost and sad and
sharing optimism to them can start a change and can help also the brand. For the employment part, my
brother realized that a lot of people are unemployed, the reason why he launched AioneMD is not only
for immunity and beauty, but also to give extra income to others. He thought of those unemployed who
are willing to become resellers and this is where it all starts. Just a disclaimer, this is not networking, our
family would love to help those who are willing to earn an extra.

As part of the marketing team of Plus in Us Philippines, I always remind them that marketing is
not all about selling or promoting the product but it is also about the people and the potential
consumers. We should care for the people as much as how we value our company and products. This
time is not about competing with other products, but rather how we can be of help to people and how
we can give hope and change.
