Dear Supplier,

At IKEA we believe in creating a positive impact on people and the planet, not only because it is the right
thing to do, but also because it is good for business. We have made big sustainability commitments and
are making good progress, together with you, to reach our goals.

We have worked with IWAY, the IKEA Supplier code of conduct, since the year 2000. IWAY is an important
enabler for our Sustainability and Supply strategies. By implementing IWAY, you have contributed to
provide better conditions for workers, reduce our climate footprint and create a positive impact in society.

Big Thank you for this! Nothing of this would have been possible without you.

Now it is time to take the next step in the journey of creating an even stronger positive impact. Please
welcome the next generation of IWAY: IWAY 6!

We have updated IWAY to reflect more accurately the challenges and opportunities we face in society
today. With our continued high level of ambition, we want to make IWAY a better fit for your business, with
a strong focus on the outcomes and impact it creates.

IWAY 6 will also bring in new ways of working, with a stronger focus on partnership and collaboration, as
well as a continued dialogue around our common ambitions around sustainability.

Because we have updated to a new version of the IWAY Standard, we will also need to secure your
agreement is updated to the new version. The current IWAY Standard (ed. 5.2) will continue to apply until
the new version is implemented.

Please find the new IWAY Standard attached to this letter, specifically with the sections applicable for your
business.

As you will see, the requirements in IWAY 6 are based on the staircase model: ranging from “Must” and
“Basic” to “Advanced” and “Excellent”. “Must” and “Basic” are the minimum requirements which need to be
met. Our ambition is to work towards implementing these higher levels (“Advanced” and “Excellent”) and
thereby create an even more positive impact. The timeframe in which to implement “Advanced” and
“Excellent” levels will be advised and agreed at a later stage.

With regard to the next step, you will be approached by your responsible Business Developer with an
invitation to take part in an introductory session. In this session we will take you through the main changes
contained in IWAY 6 and give you the opportunity to ask questions. We will also look into how to support
you in the best way throughout the implementation process.

Thank you very much for your cooperation; we look forward to continue working together and making a
positive impact upon our common journey.

Sincerely,

Henrik Elm
