Aims:-to familiarise Ss with road signs
-to read and listen for specific information

Individual work
Procedure:-T asks Ss to look at the road signs on p.95
-T explains that there are signs at the side of roads to
give information to road users
- Ss read the questions aloud
-T plays the recording
-T allows Ss some time to read the text again and
answer the questions
-T corrects them if it’s necessary
Activity 6
Aims: -to match the road signs with their meanings
-to write sentences using must/ mustn't
-to find the odd word out
-to circle the correct answer
-to complete the sentences
Skills: speaking, writing, reading, listening
Timing: 20 min
Type of interaction: T-SS, SS-T, SS-SS
Team work
Procedure:
-T asks the leaders to choose a number from 1 to 5
-T gives the exercises to the teams
-Ss solve the exercises
-T asks Ss to give their paper to the team near them.
-Ss solve all 5 exercises
-T asks Ss to come to the flipchart and write the
answers
- T corrects them if it’s necessary
Activity 7 Feed-back
Aims: - -to choose: true or false
-to create the knowledge tree
Skills: speaking, writing, listening, reading
Timing: 4 min
Type of interaction T-SS, SS-T
Individual work
Procedure:-T gives SS a worksheet and asks them to complete
with true or false
-SS write the worksheet
-SS write the answers on the flipchart
-T corrects them if it’s necessary
-T asks SS to draw a smiling face on the leaf if the
answer is right and a sad one if the answer is wrong
-T asks SS to come to the blackboard and put the leaf
with the smiling face in the tree and the sad one near the tree
Activity 8: Homework
Timing: 2 min
Procedure: T rewards the best answer given today
T asks SS to solve Self Check, p.96
