Overall objective:
Know, interpret and describe the priority and cross-cutting dimensions of the 10-
year public health plan 2012-2021 and the sustainable development goals.

WORK DEVELOPMENT
1. Describe 8 (eight) priority dimensions and the 2 transversal dimensions of
the ten-year public health plan 2012-2021.

PRIORITY DIMENSIONS
Environmental Health: they seek to materialize the right to a healthy environment
to favor and promote quality of life of the current population and future generations.

Social Coexistence and Mental Health: they allow the deployment of individual
and collective resources for the enjoyment of daily life establishing interpersonal
relationships based on respect, solidarity and the exercise of human rights.

Food and Nutritional Security: they allow guaranteeing the right to healthy food
with equity in the different stages of the life cycle.

Sexuality and Sexual and Reproductive Rights: allow promoting the conditions
for the free, autonomous and informed exercise of sexuality, the development of
the potential of individuals, groups and communities throughout their life cycle.

Healthy Living and Communicable Diseases: allow the realization of the right to
live free of communicable diseases in all life cycles and environments where
people, families and communities live.

Public Health in Emergencies and Disasters: they tend to protect individuals


and groups from the risks of emergencies and disasters, through strategies aimed
at reducing exposure and promoting comprehensive accessibility

Healthy Life and Non-Communicable Conditions: they seek well-being and the
enjoyment of a healthy life in the different stages of life.

Health and Labor Environment: they seek well-being, protection of health and
the promotion of interventions that positively modify the situations and conditions
for the health of workers in the formal and informal sectors of the economy
TRANSVERSE DIMENSIONS

- differential management of vulnerable populations: they seek the recognition


of social differences and, consequently, the application of measures in favor
of those social groups in which these differences mean disadvantage or a
situation of greater vulnerability.

- Strengthening of the Sanitary Authority for health management: Set of


sectoral and community actions aimed at recovering the basic capacities of
the sanitary authority in the nation and territories.

2. Describe the sustainable development goals (UNDP, 2015)

1. End poverty: End poverty in all its forms everywhere


2. Zero hunger: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and
promote sustainable agriculture
3. Health and well-being: Ensuring a healthy life and promoting well-being for all at
all ages 4. Quality education: Ensure inclusive, equitable and quality education and
promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
5. Gender equality: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
6. Clean water and sanitation: Ensuring the availability of water and its sustainable
management and sanitation for all
7. Affordable and clean energy: Ensuring access to affordable, safe, sustainable
and modern energy for all
8. Decent work and economic growth: Promote sustained, inclusive and
sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for
all
9. Industry, innovation and infrastructure: Promote inclusive and sustainable
industrialization
10. Reduction of inequalities: Reduce inequalities within and between countries
11. Sustainable cities and communities: Make cities and human settlements
inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
12. Responsible consumption and production: Guarantee sustainable consumption
and production patterns
13. Climate action: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
14. Underwater life: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine
resources for sustainable development
15. Life of terrestrial ecosystems: Sustainably manage forests, combat
desertification, halt and reverse land degradation and halt the loss of biodiversity
16. Peace, justice and strong institutions: Promote just, peaceful and inclusive
societies 17. Partnership for the Goals: Revitalizing the Global Partnership for
Sustainable Development

3. A paragraph includes the relationships and definitions for the following


terms:
Geopolitics: it is based on the idea that the control of certain territorial areas can
influence the power that a state has over others.

Sustainable development: development that is capable of satisfying current


needs without compromising the resources and possibilities of future generations.

Environment: that space in which some kind of natural exchange takes place that
makes life possible in it.

Health determinants: these are the factors that influence individual health, which
interacting at different levels determine the health status of the population.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN

The different terms are related in one way or another in the spaces and factors that
influence the different levels of support towards the possibility of improving future
generations

CONCLUSIONS:

Through the previous work, it is possible to define and differentiate the priority and
transversal dimensions that seek and allow well-being, social, labor, economic,
health among those who are part of them, it was possible to identify the 17
Sustainable Development Goals and that plan covers each.
