Evidence: A scholarship for me

Fuente: SENA

Most universities and higher education institutions around the world offer
scholarships as an option for those students who don’t have the budget to
afford the tuition fees. They usually require good grades from previous studies
and a solid interest in the field of study. Although the standards for a
scholarship may seem difficult for some people, it is not impossible to obtain
one, and sometimes students miss the chance to apply because they just think
they are not good enough for it. However, there are different options when
trying to obtain a scholarship. Some are more demanding than others but there
are always options. It is just a matter of dedicating some time to search carefully
online.

In this evidence you are going to search for a scholarship that matches your
interests and career objectives. Then you are going to write a report about it. If
you are not planning to continue your studies, then you can search a
scholarship for a friend of yours.

Consider the following questions for your report:

 Why does this scholarship call your attention?

 How is it related to your career objectives?
 How is the content of the program structured?
 What are the requirements to apply?
 Which requirements do you already have and which do you need to
complete?
Here is a chart you can use to organize the information before writing your
report.

About the scholarship.

I studied International Business management, so I was looking for a scholarship
for adults which could help with the tuition fee or maybe with the first pays of the
semester, finally I found an institution that helps me with my studies, it is
Montreal University.

I decided to choose this one, because it adapts to me very well and helps
foreign students who want to continue improving their studies.
This University allows me to continue the line of study that I made.

I can learn topics related to manage the supply and distribution chain in an
international context (deeply), also apply the specific Canadian regulations
applicable to logistics activities in the context of globalized markets. On the
other hand, the theory learned will be contextualized and review during 192
weeks, the rest of weeks I have a sort of internship which help to apply the
knowledge that I learned.

In order to apply for this scholarship, I have to fulfill these requirements:

 Previous GPA undergraduate 4.5

 Basics knowledge about international trade, logistics or international
business.
 The student must be actively involved in the Community (college and/or
external).
 Sponsor who can support you.
 C1 English level.

It is a pleasure for me to know that the only requirement to get this scholarship
it’s the C1 English level, therefore I´m working hard to get this. To be honest I
realized that I wanted to be more and since I was a child I always managed to
learn more and find a way to not be like others.

When I was at university I was really passionate about logistics; I was always
hungry to learn more about the topics related to this, so I would often go beyond
my regular classes and do “study groups” with some of my friends to research
in the library, thus through this experience, I discovered a big potential being a
team player because I liked to share ideas with them, collaborate with others to
achieve a common goal.... and last but not least I identify punctuality was and
still is the most important aspect of my life because I really value other’s time
and effort to meet me, therefore I attempt to arrive 10 minutes earlier to any
appointment I make.
