Dear citizen,

v This year’s World Environment Day, like all the years before it,
gives people of the world a motive to produce and spread
environmental awareness across the globe.
v Recently joining the school Environment Club, I would clearly
like to express my involvement in this movement by sharing
some common ideas on how anyone anywhere can contribute
to lengthen the number of years of Earth’s life.

 SWITCH OFF!
When you consume less power,
you reduce the amount of toxic
fumes released by power plants,
conserve the earth’s natural
resources and protect ecosystems
from destruction.

Reduce electricity use in your

home by:
v Switching off lights when not
in use
v Avoiding use of electronic
devices when not needed
 RECYCLE!
Recycling reduces the need for extracting, refining and
processing raw materials. By reducing your waste and recycling
as much as possible, you will be saving the world’s most precious
resources.

v Recycle used materials such as plastic, paper, cardboard, trash

etc.
v Take a homemade bag with you to the market instead of using
a plastic bag, or make sure to recycle the plastic bag after
you’ve finished using it.
 GROW PLANTS!

Plants support life on Earth in many ways such as releasing oxygen and absorbing carbon
dioxide, helping reduce the human impact on the environment.

Help the environment in your own garden by:

v Planting more plants, trees and shrubs
v Using native plants instead of foreign ones
v Growing your own fruits and vegetables
v Installing artificial grass(optional)
 BE AWARE!
Last but not least, environmental awareness might be a long-
term solution to global warming and climate change, as people
will understand how the world they live in is threatened by the
problem they created.

Get more environmentally aware by:

v Researching the causes of global warming and other
environmental problems
v Starting an environmental club
v Understanding what you could do to help save the
environment
 CONGRATULATIONS!

necessary base for all of us to understand on our journey as the guardians of Earth. Just by
doing the simple things like switching off lights, planting trees and recycling, you are making
a big change to the world in your own way. To conclude, I wish you a very conservative World
