LEARNING OBJECTIVES MO : At the end of the lesson, all pupils will be able to read and match 6 words.
CO : At the end of the lesson, all pupils will be able to write 6 words.
CROSS CURRICULAR ELEMENTS LANGUAGE
ACTIVITIES : 1. Write anagrams of key topic vocabulary words on board.
i) PRE-LESSON e.g. r e n e g (green)

ii) LESSON DEVELOPMENT 1. Have pupils sit in a circle. Show each letter and asks pupils what letter is it. Elicit
the sound of the letter. Put the letter in the middle of the circle.
2. Show pupils the colour flashcards and asks them “What colour is this?”
3. Next asks them which sound the colour starts with e.g. yellow starts with ‘y’. Asks
one pupil to take the letter from the circle. Repeat with other colours.
4. Tell pupils colour the words. Guide them to read using letters they have. They can
use the words on board to help.
5. Repeat this activity with the words on the board erased.
6. Hand out worksheet and asks pupils to write the words correctly.
iii) POST-LESSON 1. Asks pupils to tell each other which colour they like most and why.
