Set-1
A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting around a circular table. Some of them are
facing towards the center while some are facing outside the center. F sits
second to the left of A. Both F and A face the same direction i.e. (if A faces
towards the center then F will also face towards the center and vice versa). At
least three people face outside the center. G and C are sitting exactly opposite
to each other. Neither C nor E is the immediate neighbor of either F or A. H sits
third to the right of E, who faces outside the center. Immediate neighbors of G
and B face the center. D, who faces the center, sits second to the right of G.

Set-2
Twelve people sitting in two parallel lines facing each other. Row 1 has six
people A, B, C, D, E and F facing south. Row 2 has six people P, Q, R, S, T and U
facing north. A faces R. F and Q are sitting at extreme end but they don't face
each other. U sits second to the right of the one who is facing C. S is as far
from U as D is from F. E is not the immediate neighbour of either C or D. B sits
third to the right of E. E faces T.

Set-3
Nine people A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I are sitting in a row and all are facing
North. It is known that C sits exactly in the middle and there is no person to
the right of I. D is fourth to the right of F. G and H are sitting next to each
other. E is the neighbor of D but not of C.

It is also known that


(1) H doesn't sit at any extreme corner.
(2) D is not sitting adjacent to either C or I.
(3) A is second to the right of H.

Set-4
Eight friends Rahul, Gaurav, Nitesh, Ravi, Pawan, Vikas, Ankit and Aman are
sitting around in a circle, facing the centre. Rahul and Nitesh are sitting

together. Gaurav is sitting 3rd to the right of Ravi. Pawan is sitting to the
immediate left of Vikas. Ravi is not sitting next to Ankit while Gaurav is not
sitting next to Nitesh. Vikas is not the neighbor of Gaurav and Ravi. Gaurav is
not the neighbor of Pawan.

Set-5
A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are eight friends travelling in three different cars, viz X,
Y and Z, with at least two in one car and at most three in a car to three
different places, viz. Delhi, Chandigarh and Agra.
There is at least one female member in each car. D is travelling with G to Delhi
but not in car Y. A is travelling with only H in car Z but not to Chandigarh. C is
not travelling with either D or E. F and D are studying in the same only girls'
college. H, B and G are studying in the same only boys' college.

Set-6
Eight bottles of colors red, pink, orange, blue, green, black, yellow and white
are kept on a rectangular table not necessarily in the same order. One bottle
each is kept on each corner and two bottles each are kept on the two longer
sides of the table.

Pink and orange bottles are not kept in the corners. White and black bottles
are diagonally opposite to each other. Pink bottle is between yellow and black
bottles and equidistant from both of them. Blue bottle is between yellow and
white bottles and all three of them are immediate next to each other. Blue
and white bottles are not on the sides of the table. Orange bottle is kept
between red and green bottles and all three of them are immediate next to
each other. Green bottle is to the opposite of yellow bottle.

Set-7
P, Q, R, S, T, U, V & W are eight persons. Each person visits different places

namely America, New Zealand, Switzerland, Cuba, Thailand, Russia, Australia


& Mexico but not necessarily in the same order. They also like different colors
namely Red, White, Blue, Black, Yellow, Pink, Violet & Orange but not

necessarily in the same order. T likes Black and doesn't visit Switzerland nor
Australia. P visits Cuba and does not like either Red or White. The one who
visits Australia likes Pink. The one who likes Orange visits New Zealand and
the one who visits Thailand likes Yellow. S doesn't like Blue. V and R like
Yellow and Violet respectively. Q likes Orange. W visits Russia and doesn't like
Red. The one who visits Mexico likes Violet. U doesn't visits Switzerland.

Set-8
Eight people A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H stay in a five storey building (Ground floor to
4th floor). It is known that neither C nor D stays on the first floor. There is at
least one person on each floor and there are not more than two people on any
floor. Only one person stays between the floors in which B and G stay. E does
not stay with anyone else on his floor. Three people stay above A. B stays on
the 3rdfloor and F and D are don't stay on the same floor. Number of people
staying on the third floor is more than the number of people staying on the
top floor. G lives above F.

Set-9
Twelve people are sitting in two parallel rows. In row 1, P, Q, R, S, T and U are
sitting facing towards south and in row 2, A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting facing
towards north, not necessarily in the same order.

• At least three people are sitting between P and the one who is facing B.
• E sits second to the left of C.
• Both A and R sitting at the extreme ends of the row and they are facing each
other.
• D is facing T and S is facing the one who is sitting third to the right of F.
• P is sitting to the right side of everyone in that row.
• E doesn't face P and B doesn't face U.

Set-10
Ankit, Dipesh, Jitesh, Arvind, Rohan and Dheeraj are six brothers who are
sitting around a circular table and discussing about their ancestors properties.

Three of them are facing towards the center and the rest are facing away from
the center.

Any three brothers looking in the same direction (i.e. either towards the table
or away from it) is not on three consecutive chairs. Dheeraj is not second to
the right of Ankit. Arvind is second to the right of Dipesh. Either both Rohan
and Dipesh look towards the table or both look away from it. Arvind is not
next to Dheeraj, who look towards the table. Rohan is to the immediate right
of Jitesh, but not on a chair exactly opposite to that of Ankit. Dipesh and Ankit
are facing in the same direction.

Set-11
Nine Friends P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W and X went to a village function and sat in a
row. It is known that R sits exactly in the middle and there is no person to the
right of X. S is fourth to the right of U. V and W is sitting next to each other. T
is the neighbor of S but not of R.

It is also know that


(1) W doesn't sit at any extreme corner.
(2) S is not sitting adjacent to either R or X.
(3) P is second to the right of W.

Set-12
10 people A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J live in a 6 storey building from ground
floor to 5th floor. Each floor of the building is occupied by at least one person.
It is known that,

1. G and H live on adjacent floors and J does not live on the top floor.
2. D lives three floors above A, who does not live on the ground floor. I lives
just above C.
3. E lives on the 2nd floor but not below H.
4. G lives on the 3rd floor and A does not live on a floor adjacent to that of G.

5. B lives on the same floor as F but not below G. A doesn't live on the same
floor as C.
6. H lives above C and J does not live with I.
7. No one else lives on the floor on which B and F lives together.

Set-13
(a) Six plays are to be organized from Monday to Sunday -One play each day
with one day when there is no play. 'No play' day is not Monday or Sunday.

(b) The plays are held in sets of 3 plays each in such a way that 3 plays are held
without any break i.e. 3 plays are held in such a way, that there is no 'No play'
day between them but immediately before this set or immediately after this
set it is 'No play' day.
(c) Play Z is held on 26th and play X was held on 31st of the same month.
(d) Play B was not held immediately after play A (but was held after A, not
necessarily immediately) and play M was held immediately before Q.
(e) All the six plays were held in the same month.

Set-14
Nine friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I are sitting around a circular table in a
restaurant facing the centre. G is fourth to the left of F.F is second to the right
of E.H is fourth to the right of E and is second to the left of D.C is fourth to the
right of D.A is not an immediate neighbor of either D or G.B is third to the
right of I.

Set-15
Eight Family Members Raju, Nikita, Lavanya, Anupama, Deepa, Gokul, Divya
and Akansha are seated around a circular Table, facing the center.
Anupama is not sitting next to Divya. Neither Nikita nor Anupama is a
neighbor of Gokul. Nikita and Deepa are not next to each other. Nikita is not
sitting next to Lavanya. Gokul is sitting to the immediate right of Deepa.
Anupama is sitting 3rd to the left of Nikita. Raju and Lavanya are next to each

Set-16
Kajal, Juhi, Alex, Dev, Ravi, Rahul, Namit and Pankaj live on different floors of
same building. The lower-most floor is numbered 1; the floor immediately
above it is numbered 2, and so on till the top-most floor which is numbered 8.
Rahul lives four floors above Ravi. Kajal lives one floor above Rahul's floor.
Alex lives on an odd numbered floor but not on floor number 3. Alex lives
above Ravi's floor. Dev does not live above Rahul's floor. Juhi lives three floors
below the floor of Pankaj. Namit lives below the floor of Dev.

Set-17
Anil, Bhavana, Chintu, Daboo, Esha, Faizal and Gaurav are sitting around a
circle facing the centre. Anil is 3rd to the left of Gaurav and to the immediate
right of Daboo. Bhavana is second to the left of Faizal who is not an immediate
neighbor of Esha.

Set-18
Six chemicals L, M, N, O, P and Q are kept in bottles of different colours viz,
green, red, blue, white, pink and violet, not necessarily in the same order. The
bottles are arranged from left to right, again not necessarily in the same order.
Chemical M is kept in white bottle. Chemical L is not kept in green bottle and
is kept to the immediate left of the violet bottle. Chemical O is kept in the blue
bottle and is kept exactly between the bottles containing chemicals L and M.
The red bottle is at the extreme left end. The bottle containing chemical Q is
not kept at either of the ends. The green bottle is kept at the extreme right
end. Chemical P is not kept near the white bottle.

Set-19
In a seven storey building, having floors numbered one to seven, P, Q, R, S, T
and V each live on a different floor. (The ground floor is numbered floor no. 1,
the floor above it floor no. 2 and so on.) One of the floors in the building is
vacant. P lives on the fifth floor. No floor below fifth floor is vacant; also no
odd numbered floor is vacant. Only S lives between T and V. T does not live on

an odd numbered floor. T does not live on a floor immediately above or
immediately below R's floor, Q does not live on the bottom-most floor.

Set-20
Seven People Akansha, Ramanan, Jay, Vinay, Kumar, Varsha and Sanchit are
from different towns namely Ranchi, Ludhiana, Vijayawada, Ahmedabad,
Jodhpur, Lucknow and Thane.
They all have different bikes among Hero, Honda, Enfield, TVS, Yamaha, Bullet
and Bajaj.
• Akansha has Bullet.
• Kumar is not from Vijayawada.
• The one who has Honda is from Thane.
• Varsha has Bajaj and is not from Ludhiana.
• Sanchit is from Jodhpur.
• The one who has TVS is from Vijayawada
• Vinay has Hero and is from Ahmedabad.
• Ramanan has Enfield and is from Ranchi.

Set-21
M, N, O, P, Q, R and S are sitting in a single row facing towards south. Each of
them has a week day-off from Monday to Sunday. The one whose day-off is
on Monday is sitting third to the right of O. The person having day-off on
Monday is the immediate neighbor of M and the person having day-off on
Thursday. M is sitting second from the right end. S is sitting third to the right
of N. The person having day-off on Thursday is sitting to the immediate right
of Q. P doesn't have a day-off on either Saturday or Sunday. Sunday is the day-
off of the person who is sitting at one of the extreme ends. The one whose
day-off is on Friday is sitting fourth to the right of the one whose day-off is on
Tuesday. R is sitting second to the left of the person having day-off on Sunday.

Set-22
Eight friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are seated around a circular table not
necessarily in the same order. They are facing the centre. The arrangement is
based on the following rules:

• A is seated 2nd to the left of D
• C and H are seated a gap of two seats
• H is not a neighbour of D and D is not a neighbour of B and C.
• F is 2nd to the right of G
• E is seated 3rd right of B
• F and H are seated on consecutive seats

Set-23
There are eight friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H. Three of them play cricket and
table tennis each and two of them play football. Each of them has a different
height. It is also known that:
(1) The tallest does not play football and the shortest does not play cricket.
(2) F is taller than A and D but shorter than H and B. E who does not play
cricket is taller than B and is the second tallest. G is shorter than D but taller
than A.
(3) H, who is the fourth from the top, plays table tennis with D.
(4) G does not play either cricket or football. B does not play football.

Set-24
9 friends Asha, Bela, Chaya, Dev, Ekta, Fida, Gita, Hema, Ila live in an
apartment which has 9 floors (from ground floor to 8th floor). None of the two
friends live on the same floor. The youngest person lives on the ground floor,
second youngest person lives on the 1stfloor,3rd youngest lives on the 2nd
floor and so on. None of the two friends are of the same age.
i. Age of Asha is greater than the age of Ekta and less than the age of Fida.
ii. Ila is the oldest and Hema is the youngest person.
iii. Bela lives on the 6th floor. Bela is older to Fida.
iv. Ekta lives neither on the 2nd floor nor on the 1st floor.
v. Age of Chaya is greater than the age of Dev but less than the age of Fida

8 people A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H are sitting around a rectangular table (all facing
inside) with 3 people each on the longer sides of the table and 1 on the
shorter side. The host and hostess of the dinner sit on the shorter side.
Further information is known about their seating arrangement
a. F is sitting directly opposite to A and has G sitting adjacent to him, wherein
G is not sitting on the shorter side.
b. H sits 4 places to the right of C
c. D sits on one of the ends of the longer side of the table.
d. B sits on one of the longer sides but does not sit adjacent to Host or
Hostess.
e. E and F are not the Host and the Hostess.
f. A does not have G as his neighbor and sits to the right of C.
