Knock Shrine 2020
The 2020 pilgrimage at the Shrine of Our
Lady of Knock, takes place virtually today
(13th Sept.) at Knock Basilica with broadcast
live from 3pm. This annual pilgrimage is a
special day for grandparents & for all of us
to acknowledge the great contribution that
grandparents make to Church, to family, &
to society in teaching & passing on the faith.
We invite Grandparents & their families

Lord Jesus,
You were born of the Virgin Mary,

Protect them! They are a source of

Support them! As they grow older, may they
continue to be for their families strong
pillars of Gospel faith, guardians of noble
domestic ideals, living treasuries of
sound religious traditions.
Make them teachers of wisdom and

that they may pass on to future generations

The Corona Virus has changed our world. It is
difficult to get used to the new regulations and
restrictions as we gather in smaller numbers and
observe “social distance” from each other – the
very opposite of community and community of
worship. There is no obligation to go to Mass
during this time of pandemic. Many are nervous
and you should not be worried about missing
Mass. But we do miss you and you are in our
prayers. You are still a cherished member of our
parish. You can join us via the parish radio or
webcam (All Masses at weekends & weekdays
from St. Michael’s Church, Portarlington are
transmitted).

by donating gift-filled shoeboxes for children
