1. Objective

To provide a proper procedure in dealing with COVID-19 pandemic that is aligned with the
requirements of the government.

2. Scope

This procedure covers all employees of ChengTech Corporation, visitors, guests and clients.

4. Workplace Safety and Health Procedure on COVID-19

4.1. Increasing physical and mental health resilience


4.1.1. Emphasize everyday actions to stay health such as:
 Emphasize on eating healthy and nutritious food to keep a healthy beady
 Drink plenty of fluids and avoiding alcoholic beverages
 Take enough rest and obtain at least eight (8) hours sleep
 Exercise regularly

4.2. Reducing transmission of COVID-19 Prior to entrance to the Company premises


All employees, workers, officers, clients and guests shall:
1. Wear face mask at all times. Washable facemasks are acceptable.
2. Accomplish daily the health symptoms questionnaire.
3. Undergo temperature check and have it recorded.
4. Spray alcohol to both hands prior to entering the premises.
5. Disinfect the wheels of entering vehicles.
6. Instill physical distancing of one meter at all times.

Inside the Workplace


1. Clean and disinfect at least once every 2 hours all work areas and frequently
handled objects.
2. Provide sufficient clean water and soap in all washrooms and toilets.
3. Encourage workers to wash hands frequently and avoid touching face
4. Provide sanitizers in corridors, conference areas, and other visible areas.
5. Practice physical distancing of 1 meter radius space between workers at all
times, including in the common area and pantry.
6. Regular cleaning and disinfectant of common area and pantry.

4.3. Minimizing Contact Rate


4.3.1. Discouraged prolong face-to-face discussion but if needed, ensure to wear
facemask and observe social distancing.
4.3.2. Arrange and layout office tables to ensure that physical distancing is maintained.

4.3.3. Encourage the use of videoconferencing for meetings, customer assistance and
the like.
4.3.4. Safety officer shall roam around and ensure that physical distancing and health
protocols are properly observed.

4.4. Reducing risk infection from COVID-19


Worker is a COVID-19 suspect
4.4.1. The worker shall immediately proceed to the designated isolation area and never
remove his/her mask.
4.4.2. Safety officer attending to the workers should wear appropriate PPE like
facemasks and gloves. If needed, call the nearest hospital and request for an
ambulance to transport the affected worker to the nearest hospital.
4.4.3. Decontamination of workplace:
 Workplace shall be decontaminated with appropriate disinfectants;
 After decontamination of the work area, work can resume after 24 hours;
and
 Workers present in the work with the suspect COVID-19 worker shall go
14 days home quarantine.

Worker is sick or has fever but not COVID-19


1. Employer must advise the worker to take necessary measures to prevent the
spread of communicable disease, as follows:
 Stay at home and keep away from work or crowds;
 Take adequate rest and plenty of fluids;
 Practice personal hygiene to prevent spread of disease; and
 Seek appropriate medical care if there is persistent fever, difficulty in
breathing or feeling weakness.

5. Duties of Employer
5.1. Provide the necessary company policies for the prevention and control of COVID-19
5.2. Provide resources and materials needed to keep the worker healthy and the workplace
safe (masks, soap, disinfectants);
5.3. Designate a safety officer to monitor COVID-19 prevention and control measures;
5.4. Enhance health insurance provision for workers;
5.5. Enjoin the hiring from the local community; and
5.6. Put up a COVI-19 Hotline and Call Center for employees.

6. Duties of Employee
6.1. Comply with all workplace measures in place for the prevention and control of COVID-
19 (masks, physical distancing, frequent hand washing);
6.2. Observe proper respiratory etiquette;
6.3. Cough and sneeze into tissue or into shirt sleeve;
6.4. Disinfect hands immediately after cough or sneeze.

7. Protocol for Screening Employees and Visitors


All workers, regardless of status and visitors shall be subjected to a no-contact temperature
scan.

Note: In the absence of Doctor/ Nurse, Safety Officer to step up.
