Accenture is helping the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) create an
improved user experience for SEC.gov, one of the federal government’s busiest
websites. Enhancements to the site will improve the reliability and consistency of
timely, accurate information—including more than 21 million disclosure
documents in the Electronic Data Gathering Retrieval (EDGAR) system—for
investors, public companies, and citizens. We’re tackling the site’s visual style,
navigation, and content and helping roll out social media integration, a responsive mobile
framework, and improvements to existing site, content, and user analytics capabilities.

ACCENTURE FEDERAL CLOUD ERP SOLUTION
IS FEDRAMP CERTIFIED
The Accenture Federal Cloud ERP solution has met the federal
security requirements necessary to be awarded FedRAMP Accenture Federal
certification. FedRAMP, the Federal Risk and Authorization Cloud ERP
Management Program, provides a standardized approach for
assessing, authorizing, and continuously monitoring the
security of cloud products and services. With this certification,
Accenture is helping agencies save time and money as they assess
potential solutions. One example: the National Science Foundation,
which migrated its financial system onto Accenture’s Federal Cloud
ERP platform and is realizing improvements in analytics, technical
reliability, audit capabilities, and overall financial performance
and management reporting.

WE’RE DIAGNOSING WAYS TO USE PATIENT-
GENERATED HEALTH DATA FOR POTENTIAL
LOWER COSTS, BETTER PATIENT OUTCOMES Office of the National

Accenture is working with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health
Information Technology (ONC)
Information Technology (ONC) to understand the potential impact of patient-
generated health data (PGHD) and identify approaches to its implementation.
Insights into patient-generated health data—including a person’s health and
treatment history, biometric data, symptoms, and lifestyle choices—can potentially
help drive cost savings and improvements in quality, care coordination, and patient
safety. It also provides a more comprehensive picture of ongoing patient
health. How can clinicians and researchers use patient-generated health data?
To help ONC understand the best practices and challenges, Accenture is
conducting industry outreach, providing thought leadership, and coordinating
pilot demonstration projects to test and refine potential approaches. The results
of all these efforts will culminate in the publically available PGHD White
Paper, in order to help ONC build a future policy framework.

WE HELPED STUDENTLOANS.GOV
MAJOR IN DIGITAL
With the Department of Education becoming the only direct
lender of federal student loans and grants, Accenture built
Department of Education
Studentloans.gov to handle a 300-percent increase in
number of loans processed. The site features the latest
digital technologies and enterprise-wide analytics. Our service
design approach reflects commercial best practices and
evolving customer expectations—including personalized, on-
demand services. To date, the site has processed more
than 1.4 trillion dollars in aid for 58.4 million students and
families since July 2004.

FOUNDATION
WE MAPPED A DIGITAL PATH
FOR NATIONAL PARKS
The National Park Foundation turned to Accenture for help
exploring new ways to attract more diverse and connected National Park
visitors to America’s parks. The result: a bold digital Foundation
strategy that integrates digital, mobile, social, and
immersive technologies to transform the visitor experience
across 407 parks. Articulating an end-to-end digital
visitor experience—from planning trips to sharing
memories—the roadmap is equipping the National Park
Foundation to accelerate its digital journey.

FOREFRONT OF DEVELOPMENT FINANCING
Providing loans, grants, and technical assistance and

WE HELPED THE USPS DELIVER THE WORLD’S
FIRST NATIONAL INTELLIGENT MAIL®
By the 2000s, the United States Postal Service (USPS) was
facing a host of challenges related to diversification, United States
substitution, declining mail volumes, and structural changes in Postal Service
the industry. Collaborating with Accenture, USPS developed
and, in just seven months, executed a breakthrough vision
that made it the first postal organization in the world to
offer national Intelligent Mail®. Among the outcomes: the
ability to measure and improve commercial performance,
drive product innovation, enrich the customer experience, and
sharpen operational insight.

MEDICARE AND
MEDICAID SERVICES
WE PUT DIGITAL TO WORK
FOR HEALTHCARE.GOV
With the first enrollment already underway, Healthcare.gov
was in jeopardy. Accenture rapidly deployed 100+ digital Centers for Medicare
experts to rescue and stabilize the site. Within weeks, more and Medicaid Services
than 11 million Americans enrolled in health insurance
through the site, driving a 30% decrease in the number of
uninsured. We continue to collaborate with CMS, states and
insurance companies, applying digital knowhow and Agile
expertise to enhance the site’s speed, reliability, security,
and customer experience.

WE USED THE CLOUD TO SIMPLIFY WEB SITE
MANAGEMENT, STREAMLINE USER EXPERIENCE
Building on a decade-long relationship, this federal agency
turned to Accenture for help improving public service delivery Federal Government
on its website. The objectives? Improve Web traffic Agency
management, modernize the user experience, and reduce
costs while increasing efficiencies. The solution: creating
an innovative, cost-effective system with managed private
cloud capability. Today, the agency’s site runs on a simpler,
more manageable Web environment and delivers a
seamless experience for public and registered users.
