Law: G

Centrifugal force is the inertia force that arises in each rotating object. It is only
required in a rotating reference frame - or, in other words, when we look at the
system from the point of view of the object in motion.

According to Newton's first law, if no force acts on an object then it moves in a

straight line.
For rotation to occur, a centrifugal force - acting outwards from the center of
rotation - must be applied.
If the angular velocity ω, is known then recalculate it to normal velocity by
simply multiplying it by the circumference of the circular path by the following
equation
v = ω2πr
in case the angular velocity ω is in Hz (1/s)then use the formula:
v = ωr
in case the angular velocity ω is in rad/s.
Use the values of ω and r into the calculation directly

GRAPHICAL ILLUSTRATION Example

The mass of the object 10 kg.

The radius of rotation is 2 m.
The velocity of the object is to 5 m/s.
If you know the angular velocity then use the f
velocity.
Apply the values in the centrifugal force equati
F = (10 kg) * (5 m/s)² / (2 m) = 125 kg ⋅m/s² = 1
Apply the values in the centrifugal force equati
F = (10 kg) * (5 m/s)² / (2 m) = 125 kg ⋅m/s² = 1
Example

ct 10 kg.
n is 2 m.
bject is to 5 m/s.
ular velocity then use the formula v = ω ⋅ 2 ⋅ π ⋅ r to calculate the

he centrifugal force equation: F = m v² / r.

)² / (2 m) = 125 kg ⋅m/s² = 125 N.
