In this paper the Factors including economic growth, increasing urbanization,
industrialization, and changing lifestyles of people have been raising the levels of
plastic waste generation, which had resulted in an increasing threat to the
environment. Now the awareness about the management of plastic waste has
increased rising level of awareness about health & environment and with the
progression in consumer education .If we talk about the growing population and the
growing income levels of people then it has generated newer opportunities for the
plastic waste management industry.
From the data we have calculated that the global waste management market is
projected to increased to USD 39.9 billion by 2024, at a CAGR of 31% from 2019.
Now, In terms of volume accounted, we find that the landfills segment is projected to
lead the market of plastic waste management from 2019 to 2024.
It is Based on the service that the landfills segment has been projected to dominate
the plastic waste management market, in terms of volume, from 2019 to 2024. The
presence of low number incinerators as well as recycling plants lead to
mismanagement of wastes, and it is giving rise to plastic waste disposals as well as
landfills.
Now ,In terms of value ,when we talk about the packaging segment of the recycled
plastic waste market then it has been projected to grow at the highest CAGR during
the forecasted period.
Now if we talk about the terms of value accounted, the Asia Pacific plastic waste
management market then it has been projected to grow at the highest CAGR during
the forecasted period.
The ever growing population, rising GDP, and increasing disposable incomes in Asia
Pacific are leading to the generation of more solid wastes, which has been creating
opportunities for the market in the region. All of the infrastructural development in
under-developed and the developing countries of Asia Pacific is driving the growth of
different methods of plastic waste management in this region.
This research report categorizes the plastic waste management market on service,
polymer, source, end-use application, and region.
Based on service:
Polypropylene (PP)
High-density polyethylene (HDPE)
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
Polyurethane (PUR)
terephthalate (PET)
Polystyrene (PS)
Polyethylene
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE)
Based on source:
Packaging
Building & construction
Textile & clothing
Automotive
Furniture
North America
Europe
Asia Pacific
Middle East & Africa
South America
Methodology
This study has involved four major activities in estimating the current global size of
the plastic waste management market. If we talk about The exhaustive secondary
research then it carried out to collect information on the market, and the peer
market, as well as the parent market.
The next step to validate these findings, assumptions, and sizes with the industry
experts across the value chain of plastic waste management through primary
research. The bottom-up approach was employed to estimate the overall size of the
plastic waste management market. After this, data triangulation procedures and the
market breakdown were used to estimate the size of different segments as well as
subsegments of the market also.
Secondary Research
In the secondary research process, various secondary sources such as the Wall
Street Journal, the World Bank, Plastics Europe, Bloomberg, and Factiva were
referred to, to identify and collect information on the plastic waste management
market. If we take secondary sources then it includes press releases & investor
presentations of companies, annual reports, and white papers, , articles by
recognized authors, gold & silver standard websites, certified publications, packaging
organizations, and regulatory bodies, trade directories ,as well as databases also .
Primary Research
The primary sources from both demand-side and supply side of the market were
interviewed to obtain quantitative and qualitative information. Now if we take the primary
sources from the supply-side included industry experts like Chief Executive Officers, vice
presidents, marketing directors, and related key executives from various key companies,
sales professionals and other organizations operating in the plastic waste management
market. All of the primary sources from the demand-side are included industry experts from
core & related industries as well as preferred suppliers, and it included the recycled plastics
end-users, standards & certification organizations, packaging companies, and other
organizations related to all segments of the value chain of the plastic waste management
industry.
The relative shares and pricing of various services in the total plastic waste
management market, in terms of volume, were determined through primary and
secondary research processes
All percentage shares, splits, and breakdowns of the sub-segments were further
determined using secondary sources and verified through primary sources.
All of the waste generation in key countries was identified through extensive
secondary research.
Research Objectives
We need to define, segment, and project the size of the global plastic waste
management market, which is based on polymer type, service, source, end-use
application, and region
We need to project the size of the market and its segments, in terms of value and
volume, concerning five main regions (along with their respective key countries),
namely, North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East & Africa, and South
America
We need to provide detailed information about the key factors such as drivers,
restraints, opportunities, and challenges influencing the growth of the market
We need to analyze the opportunities in the market for stakeholders and provide a
detailed competitive landscape of the market leaders
We need to strategically profile the key players and comprehensively analyze their
market ranking and core competencies
