I thirsted for becoming a righteous lawyer as a child. My life changed since I
joined my father’s business in Nha Trang in 2000. When I visited the Pasteur institution,
I had a lucky opportunity to listen to the workshop about the new technology in making
vaccine, and visited faculties within the institute. At that moment I really wanted to take
care of them, protect them from diseases, and appreciate their contribution to the
development of our society. Significantly, I started enjoying in doing animal research.
After the journey, I released all my sadness and began to concentrate on studying in order
to become a good veterinarian. It seemed a destiny! This journey evoked the passionate,
and creates extraordinary energy in my spirit. Passing the university entrance exam of
the top 20 in ranking was the worthy compensation for the energy. During the 5
schooling years in Cantho University, I recognised that I was on the right track. I
graduated with the highest GPA in my College of Agriculture and Applied Biology
(3.69/4.0).
I hope to study for master’s courses in your university. After searching courses in
many universities in Europe, I am really attracted by the Master’s course of Biochemistry
and Biotechnology in Ghent University in Belgium. After completing the master’s
degree, I will return and work for Cantho University, Vietnam. In addition, Vietnam is a
tropical country where is considered as the good environment for the development of
many harmful species, which influence considerably to the animals and human’s health.
Therefore, applying modern technologies of biotechnology will help me to diagnose
exactly, and treat rapidly serious diseases. I am confident to apply my knowledge gained
in your institution so as to help the Vietnamese overcome this detrimental disease and
minimize the risks of many diseases that exert great impact on our economic
development.
For all stated, protecting the animals’ health is protecting us from many threats of
harmful organisms; therefore, this increases the farmers’ income as well as the benefits of
human beings. My firm belief is that pursuing graduate studies in Ghent University
definitely deepens my expertise and adds to my hands-on experience. Importantly, a
master’s degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology is a strategic investment of my
professional goals. Most importantly, Ghent University is the right destination for me to
gain insightful perspectives into my edification and application of in-depth knowledge in
the future.
