Dear Central Family,

I would like to take this occasion to express my sincere gratitude for the way that you have
received and welcomed Roni, Hannah, and me into the Central family. These have been
whirlwind weeks for us, but your kindness and efforts at making us feel at home have been
more helpful than you may ever know.

At the end of the day, any pastor should be able to say in a concise way what he is about and
what he is aiming for. I am aiming for nothing less than this: that Central Baptist Church
would be an authentic community around the whole gospel for the glory of God and the
reaching of the nations.

Over the next many weeks I will be talking with the various ministerial and lay structures in the
church about the importance of our organizing ourselves around and grading ourselves by these
four New Testament benchmarks of the church:

authentic community
around the whole gospel
for the glory of God
and the reaching of the nations.

We might also thinking of these four benchmarks in terms of these four questions:

Are we a people of genuine love, family, and fellowship?

Are we a people radically committed to the centrality of the gospel of Christ?
Are we a people committed first and foremost to bringing glory to God?
Are we a people reaching the nations?

I would like to invite you to pray with me that we as a church would strive for faithfulness and
fidelity to these great goals. I pray that we will be so consumed with a desire to be a church
faithful to the biblical picture of the bride of Christ that we will refuse to settle for anything less.

May we be found faithful.

May we be found true.

May we be found to be a church.

STUDENT MINISTRY
Wednesdays @ 6:06pm in the Hangar
Every Wednesday night at 6:06 p.m. the students gather in the
Hangar for a student service. Along with a great time of ice-
breakers, the Hangar worship band leads in a time of worship
and praise. Kylan then leads the students through a time of study-
ing God’s Word to learn how to live an extraordinary spiritual
life in this ordinary world. Plan to come a little early to enjoy a
time of fellowship and fun in the HANGAR Café.

Mother’s Day Out Vacation Bible School “PANDAMANIA”

Registration for Fall 2011 will begin in March. We offer a quality,
educational program that focuses on ministering to young chil-
dren and their families. Our MDO program meets on Tuesdays
and Thursdays from 9am~2pm, from late August through mid-
May. Classes fill quickly, so if you are interested or know some-
one who is interested, make plans to register early. Contact Julie

Parent’s Night Out
July 11-15 6-8pm
Ages: 4 year olds (by 8-1-11) through Entering 6th Grade.
VBS gives us an awesome opportunity to reach out to children
in our community. We need LOTS of volunteers to make
our VBS successful—from rocking our volunteer’s babies, serving
snacks, decorating or just getting to know some great kids—
there are numerous positions for our church family to serve.

Parent’s Night Out (PNO) is offered to CBC members and visitors BOGG SPRINGS CHILDREN’S CAMP
attending church functions. PNO takes place the 2nd Friday eve-
ning of each month (Sept.-May) from 6-10pm Aug 1-5
• Cost: $7 per child/$20 maximum
• Ages: Birth-6th grade
