And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here
am I; who art thou, my son?
The text opens a scene when Jacob came before his father, he dressed himself in his brother’s
clothes, the wild rebellious looking clothes, he put on his body wild hairy skin like his brother,
and he made himself smell like his brother, but he still sounded like the plain gentle voice.
The father was confused to hear the gentle voice of Jacob and the wild smell, dressing and touch
of Esau, the father asked Jacob who art thou, my son? And God asks us the same question? Who
art thou, my son? Who art thou, my daughter?

Jesus asks us to be in the world, but not of this world. Because the world, its lusts and pleasures
are fleeting and temporal, we await a better world to come, eternity awaits the true and faithful

It time to say take the world but give men Jesus! All its joys are but a name. But his grace, his
love abideth ever through eternal year- to the fullness of his redemption, to pledge of endless life
above. Take the world but give me Jesus, take the world and let me be a true and faitful child of
God.
