Brief description
At HUMAN we are constantly working on improvement of our products. Therefore, we are happy to
announce a software update for the HumaSRate 24PT: The new software V1.00.07.00 is available for
download on our homepage. This latest version contains improvements and bug fixes that make the
instrument more user-friendly and it is recommended to be installed during the next service visit.
Please be aware:
As usual, the software can be found in the login area of the Human Webpage for download.
There are different download files for the different serial number ranges of the instrument.
WARNING:
Do not use the wrong software installation file.
1) Upload of QC target values and Lot related information via barcode scanning
Software v1.00.07 supports the upload of QC-target values via scanning the barcode on the
target value sheet (HSR-Control, REF 15024/40). For this purpose, the integrated barcode scanner
of the instrument will be used.
In order to use the barcode for QC-target value upload, got to “QC” => “Setting” and activate
“Barcode Model” in the Menu. Place the cursor in the empty QC Lot field as shown in the figure
below.
Now the barcode on the QC-Target value sheet of the HumaSRate 24PT Control (REF 15024/40)
can be placed in front of the internal barcode scanner. After successful scanning you will hear a
“beep” and Lot number, target value, range and expiry date will be uploaded automatically.
Proceed in this way for both levels of the control.
The instrument now supports the report of 2 hours ESR value. It has been included in addition to
ESR raw, ESR 18°C and KATZ as selection option.
In order to display, print export or transfer the 2h ESR value via LIS the parameter needs to be
activated under “Settings” => “SysSet” => “Assay Set”.
It came to our attention that the instrument does not detect potential overfilling of sample
tubes strict enough. The correct filling level of tubes is critical for optimal performance of the
instrument and reliable results.
Up to SW v1.00.6 the critical inflection points were 20mm and 40mm. When the sample height
was below 20mm or above 40mm, the corresponding tube position was flagged in yellow. When
the sample height was between 20-40mm, the corresponding tube position indicated the
correct filling by green color.
As overfilling of tubes leads to unreliable results, the flags for correct filling levels have been
adapted to >15mm and <35mm in Batch and STAT mode. This means the correct tube filling
between 15mm and 35mm will be indicated in green color, tube fillings below 15mm or above
35mm will be flagged in yellow. This corresponds to filling volume of 1.5 – 3 ml. Please be aware
that the ideal filling volume is 2-2.5ml (this corresponds to ~ 20 – 30 mm Tube filling height
determined by the HumaSRate 24PT).
The function to automatically increment the sample ID number when entering samples one by
one has been implemented. In order to use this feature please activate “Sample ID Increment” as
shown in the figure below. After having entered the sample ID click "Save". Then the input screen
automatically jumps to the next sample position and the Sample ID increases incrementally.
The measurement range for samples has been increased from 1-120mm/h to 1-140mm/h.
Please note that the linearity range stays within 1-120mm/h.
The maximum length of the sample ID has been increased from 12 to 20 characters (numbers,
uppercase and lowercase letters).
8) User Management
Deletion of the default account “Admin” and “User” is not possible any more.
After a sample run has been completed in STAT mode, the channel status will stay in the test
mode as long as the sample has not been taken out. The sample needs to be taken out to make
the channel available again and start a new measurement. This feature will reduce the risk of
running the same sample twice by accident.
When editing sample information in STAT mode, clicking “Save” will lead to automatic saving
and exit of the editing interface. In the previous software versions, the user had to click “Back” to
exit the editing interface and start the sample run. This might have been confusing and time-
consuming. The new workflow is more intuitive as the sample run can now be started quick and
easy before selecting the next sample position.
With the new software by default no reference range will be selected in the reference range
setting interface. The default reference range can be changed, selected or deactivated by the
user as with previous software versions.
Fix of the problem that the cursor got stuck when an external mouse was connected to an
instrument with SN ≥ 900001.
For upgrade of the software please refer to the instructions in the service manual page 59 chapter 9.4
(software installation).
