Introduction:
The project, which I did on Qantas, provided me a superb learning experience regarding
the work process and my roles and responsibilities. Also, as a team, we have put-in our best
efforts and work in coordination with each other to deliver the best results. Probably, this is my
first group project and during all the course work, I learned how to handle different situations
and cope-up with them. Also, the project has sharpened my analytical and leadership skills. It
was a challenging task for me as well as for other members, because of differences in our
thought process, working style and ability to deal with a problem. But, after all this, we have to

Moreover, we had a great time working with each other and now, I am feeling confident that I
can work effectively in a group and can deliver the best results.
My experience while working in this group task was highly learned and proved to be
fruitful for me in every respect. I had a support of good team members and enjoyed every
moment while working with them. The opportunity of working together as a team had given us a
chance to know each other’s strengths and weaknesses in a proper manner, so that we can work

enthusiasm and dedication. I really enjoyed working with all my group members. Having a good

I was the head or the leader of my group that is heading for a project on Qantas. My role
was to guide the team members in a proper manner in order to execute all tasks effectively and to
assign the tasks to them as per their capability and understanding of the task. According to
McKinney, et al. (2004), in order to lead a group of team successfully, I should have effective
communication and listening skills. A leader should consider contribution of all members in the
success of the group and take suggestion from all members to improve their performances.

issues during this group activity. The first and the foremost was the lack of communication at
some point of time and the other was the lack of certain resources.
Without having effective communication in both verbal and written form, it is not
possible to understand each other’s perception and pass information on time (McKinney, et al.,
2004). We all know that proper communication is utmost important to perform any task or

activity with accuracy and to achieve success. Therefore, we have conducted some meetings to
discuss all issues we were facing in all our respective roles and had taken suggestions from each

with the support of group members. Cultural diversity is main concept that can create hurdle in
smooth performance of a group (Subeliani and Tsogas, 2005), but I also learned how to cope in a
diversified environment and how to give value to other’s views and performance. Also, any
difficulty or issue can be resolved in minutes and without much of stress with help of group
members. Cultural diversity available in the groups also improved my skills and knowledge to
learn about different cultures and focus on different perspectives of a single problem to find out

Conclusion:
Overall, this group project comes out as a positive learning experience for me that helped
me in my personal growth and development. Not even for me, this group project also proved to
be beneficial for all other members of the team. We faced lot of issues and difficulties while
doing this project, but, in the end, everything went good. We were successful in making a very
good project that also help others in getting a better understating of Qantas and its related issues.
All my team members were very good in their effort and supported me in every manner. I
am very much thankful to them and give credit to them also in the successful completion of this
project. Without their support and effort, it won’t be possible to execute this project in an
effectual manner.
