The Abundance of Rain

1 Kings 18:41
And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of
rain.
a. There is a sound, of an abundance of rain here tonight,
b. God Is wanting to move in here in a special way,
c. God has heard the prayers of the people across this auditorium, for
revival.
d. Brother Owen, Got with it this morning and the holy Ghost came
in and touched these altars, and loosed some things and it is time to say GET
THEE UP, FOR THERE IS A SOUND OF ABUNDANCE OF RAIN
a. Looking back at what transpired to get to that place,

1 Kings 18:1-2
And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year,
saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth. (2) And Elijah went
to shew himself unto Ahab. And there was a sore famine in Samaria.
1. Introduction
a. In The space of three years it didn’t rain one drop. But one day God said ok and
sent the prophet to speak to Ahab and tell him that Rain was coming.
b. There was a famine, people were getting desperate for water., There are some
desperate people around here that want to see God move and open up the heavens
of revival.
c. We have been in that place of Famine, but the tides as brother Lee said, are on
their way back up. I want to encourage someone here tonight that there is rain a
coming
2. The Prayer

1 Kings 18:36-38
And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet
came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that
thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy
word. (37) Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the
LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. (38) Then the fire of the
LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and
licked up the water that was in the trench.
 a. The Prayer was given.
i. Elijah prayed, a sincere prayer for God, to move and show himself. And
Coupled with a prayerful life and walk, when you ask God, to Move Like
That. He Will.
ii. I want to pray that prayer as if we were praying It as a church,

Lord, let it be known that your are the God of Olathe, Kansas,. That New Life Pentecostal

Hilton that we did all these things according to your word. Hear me o God, that the people of
Olathe Kansas, may know that thou are The Lord God, and turn their heart back again to you.
i. We See that God, came out the winner in the end. He is always the winner
and is always victorious one. And in verse 40.

1 Kings 18:40
And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took
them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.
b. Elijah Slew The 450 Prophets of Baal
i. When you Kill the giants, then it is easier to have the victory and the
liberty, that a real apostolic church should have, you have to kill the
“prophets of Baal”.
ii. This morning we were slaying some “prophets of Baal” if you will
iii. And we see in the very next verse that The Victory came.

c. There is a sound of abundance of rain.
i. When you, get the things out, and you defeat some things then, the Victory
will come
ii. I Believe that there is victory in this house, Someone Came seeking God,
and he is at these altars and is willing to fill someone with the Holy Ghost,
and if you don’t have the Holy Ghost, you can leave here with it tonight.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering
to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
d. We’ve fought some giants and the rain is coming
 e. If You don’t know God, and you want to experience the wonderful gift
of the Holy Ghost and Salvation. The Peace and Joy that it can only give,
then all you have to do, is do as Peter said in
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ
for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
f. What is Repentance you ask:
i. Define Repentance, Repentace is the Godly Sorrow,

2 Corinthians 7:10
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the
world worketh death.
i. Seeing your sins as God sees them and wanting to change, from the life
that you have been living. Forsaking that sin, is repentance, But you can’t
do it on your own, you need the help that is what the Holy Ghost is for.

John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of
truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
g. The Holy Ghost is there to comfort you and to help you, and then you
need to be baptized in Jesus name the only sin remitting name, under
heaven that has the power.
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among
men, whereby we must be saved.
h. After you have repented, and received the Holy Ghost, been baptized
in His precious name, then your name has been written down in the lambs
book of life.
Revelation 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his
name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his
angels.
