DIE REMOVAL

1 PURPOSE:
 To maintenance of Installed Die

2 SCOPE:
 Electrical & Instrument (YES)

3 PRE-REQUISITE
 Approved Hot permit
 Process Isolation
 Cotton Rags
 Proper tools

4 TO BE AUTHORIZE BY

 Electrical & Instrument Engineer

 Process in-charge

 Shift in-charge
5 PROCEDURE:
 Generate a Hot work permit when Mechanical team ask to remove Die
 With the coordination of process team first turn off die heating from HMI
 As a precaution turn die temperature set value to 0 deg. Cent
 Isolate power supply from MCC-1 and disengage fuses
 Remove All Die Heating Connector
 Remove 2 nos. Outer block heating connectors bearing tag X-11 and X-14
 Remove 2 nos. Inner block heating connectors bearing tag X-12 and X-13
 Remove End Plate # 1 and # 2 heating connector
 Remove 2 nos. Thermo flex die bolt heating connectors Plug # 1 and Plug # 2

 Remove 2 nos. Outer lips heater connector

 Removal Temperature sensors ( PT- 100)
 Remove 11 nos. PT-100 bearing tag Zone 1 to Zone 11
 Remove 11 nos. PT-100 bearing tag Zone 12 to Zone 22
 Remove 11nos. PT-100 bearing tag Zone 23 to Zone 33
 Remove 2 nos. PT-100 EP 1 and EP 2
 Remove 2 nos. outer lip PT-100 temperature sensor
 Make sure that no temperature sensor or heating connector of melt block and co-extrusion
adapter is removed in this process. Total of 10 heating connectors and 37 PT-100 will be
removed only.
 Close your work permit from concerned authorized personnel
 Clean the area & remove all the tools
 Make an entry of the said job in the technician log book
