isolate and follow appropriate guidance on when and where to seek medical care. Take every precaution to mitigate
potential spread to fellow students, ODU faculty, staff, and others in the community.

course material and succeed in the class if you are unable to attend due to Covid-19.

Your best action, as a Monarch, is to protect your peers! If in doubt, immediately isolate and report symptoms of

MAKE-UP POLICY

 There will be no homework assignment extensions for any reason.

 There will be no Blackboard quiz extensions for any reason.

 There will be no make-up tests for any reason. If a TEST is missed, the missed test grade will be REPLACED
with the grade from the final examination. However, any student receiving a grade of zero on a test as a result of a
cheating violation will not have their zero replaced by the final exam grade. None of the test grades are dropped. If
your grade on the final exam is higher than your lowest test grade, the final exam grade will replace it. If your final
exam grade is the lowest grade, then it will only count as the final exam. If you miss one test, this will be
considered your lowest test grade.

 Absence from the final exam will result in automatic failure of the entire course. A make-up final exam will
only be offered in the case of documented illness or other exceptional circumstance.

EMAIL POLICY

 All written communication sent by email must be sent from the odu.edu domain and must have “Math 200” in
the subject line or it will be ignored.
 Any emails received that can be answered by reading the syllabus will be ignored. This includes emails
concerning dates of tests, material covered during a class period, requests for a make-up test, excuses for
