Steve Jobs was an American businessman and inventor. He was best known as
the co-founder of Apple Inc. He was known as one of the first few people to explore
personal computer revolution. He was also famous for his influence in the computer and
electronic fields.
Steve Jobs oversaw the development of iMac, iTunes, iPod, iPhone and iPad. He
received a lot of awards and public recognition for his contribution to the world of music
and technology. Those gadgets are now widely used all around the world.
Sadly, in 2004 August, Jobs was diagnosed with cancer. He fought the illness for
almost 7 years before he died. Most people were sad when he died because he was a
visionary who transformed the face of technology. People who use his products
describe Jobs as the ‘Father of the Digital Revolution’. His death was a great loss to the
world.

Read the story below and answer the questions that follow.

Once upon a time, the birds and mammals gathered to choose their king. The
birds wanted to make the eagle their king but the mammals insisted that one of
them should be the king. Then, they began to argue.

A bat tried to be clever. When the birds seemed to win, it would go over to their
side and say, “I am a bird because I fly like birds.” However, when the mammals
seemed to win, it would side them by singing, “I am a mammal because I give birth
to the young.” His behaviour irritated them all.

At last, the mammals came out victorious. The lion was made the king. The bat
went to their camp. The mammals rejected it. They refused to accept it as one of
their kind.

The bat then flew over to the other camp. The birds also turned it away.

Since that day, the bat does not show its face neither to the mammals nor the
birds. It comes out only at night.
