The following are expectations for CHRISTIAN LIVING 8 Students:

1. It is expected that a student in this course will spend 2 hours per week, involved in preparing
for and completing assignments, exercises, and discussions for this course. (Synchronous and
Asynchronous learnings)

2. The students for this course are expected to check and/or participate in the discussion
forums for at least 45minutes to an hour per week. The teacher will check email daily and least
once during the weekend. Students should expect to do the same.

3. Students are expected to ask questions as necessary and encouraged to do so within the
open question forums for that purpose. Questions may be sent to the teacher via email but
may then be shared with all students during the synchronous sessions. If a quick response to
question is needed to proceed, email is the best option. However, email sent less than 24
hours prior to assignment completion may not excuse a late submission.

4. Contributions to discussion forums are expected to be constructive, relevant, and to

contribute to the group knowledge in a way that either introduces new information or provides
information that confirms, supports or challenges previous thoughts and statements.

5. Students are expected to ‘attend’ all classes by participation in all lesson activities, and
submitting all assignments by the due date unless otherwise negotiated in advance. Please
refer to our Student’s Policies for the consequences of failure to participate and the definition
of ‘absence’ in this online course.
6. All students are expected and required to use their DBTC email for this course. In the case of
a submission dispute, the issue may not be reviewed and no consideration or exception will be
granted if the student did not use his DBTC email account.

7. It is expected that all students will keep a copy of work submitted as back-up in case of error
or dispute.

9. It is expected that any work submitted by a student in this course for academic credit will be
the student’s own work either individually or as part of a group. This course has a zero-
tolerance policy for CHEATING. (Academic dishonesty includes plagiarism and copyright
violations. This can be discovered through review of exam or quiz access and closing date/time,
review of file origin and properties, comparison of submission to database of previous
submissions and web search for content origin.

10. Both students and teacher are expected to adhere to all DBTC school policies, including but
not limited to those addressing conduct and professionalism. It is expected that students in this
course will conduct themselves as GOOD CHRISTIANS and HONEST CITIZENS
