Project 2: Conducting Competency Assessment Guide

1. Greetings (Introduce yourself/ the assessor must wear his/her ID card as a proof of his/her
accreditation)
2. Acknowledgement of the AC manager/TESDA Representative (state the purpose of the TESDA Rep)
3. Checking of Attendance (compare the signature on Admission Slip)
4. Self-Assessment Guide (SAG) and Application Form
5. Conduct orientation to the candidates on the ff:
 Purpose of the assessment-is to measure the knowledge,skills and attitude
 Administer the Assessment for:

Basic,Common and focus: Core- enumerate namely…core1- SERVICE AUTOMOTIVE

ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ,core no2- SERVICE ENGINE MECHANICAL SYSTEMS,core no3
- SERVICE UNDERCHASSIS COMPONENTS , core no.4 - SERVICE POWER TRAIN
COMPONENTS SERVICE POWER TRAIN COMPONENTS
Focus:

 Written exam (if any)

 Practical/Demonstration with oral questioning
 Interview.
 If the candidates cannot understand the written instructions; read the Allowable Adjustment
6. Discuss and Explain:
 Do’s and Don’ts (inside the Competency Assessment Center)
 Rights to Appeal –this event if the candidate is not satisfied the result after feed-backing and
(not several days) he/she can write a letter address to the Provincial office.
 Issuance and validity of NC/COC :Competent- NC is validity period for 5-years + full
payment- Claim at Provicial Ofc.
 Re-assessment procedures (Candidate rated NOT YET COMPETENT may apply for
reassessment at his/her convenient time on the specific areas not satisfactorily achieved)
7. Provide each candidate copy of the Specific Instruction to the Candidates
explain
1.using the equipment,tools and materials you are require to perform the task in SERVICE
AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS, SERVICE ENGINE MECHANICAL SYSTEMS, SERVICE
UNDERCHASSIS COMPONENTS , SERVICE POWER TRAIN COMPONENTS within __8_hours
2 then while you are performing the task I will observe and prepare a question base in your
demonstration,,
3 then if ever you cannot understand the instructions..you are free to ask me to instruct you more for
the clarification of the assessment,kag kung may kulang pagid na mga gamit pwede niyo ako ma ask
man para ma providan ta kamu..ok
4 after your demonstration , ma feedbacking ta dayon..
5 anymore question , clarification if none ma proceed nata sang proper assessment tah..
Explain the assessment.
1 written test
2 practical demonstraton with oral question
3 interview

Gaan mo sila danay other specific instruction for there practical demonstration (give them five minutes to
read and after na amu na pagsugod mo dayun assigning task..)

Before ka magsugod practical assign gid sa mga station nila etel mo gid after you assign na complete
naman ang mga materials na galamiton nila for there practical demonstration

11. Practical/Demonstration with Oral questioning- Time starts now….Time stops now….
Note: When and while the assessment start the Assessor(s) will :
1. observe the candidate
2. gather/collect the evidence
3. record on the Rating Sheet

11. Interview (Individual – use the questioning tool provide on the Rating Sheet) 3 question you prepare
10. Feed backing (Give clear/ constructive feed backing)

11. Signing of Rating Sheet/CARS (both assessor/candidates)
12. Fill-up the Remarks of the Attendance Sheet (either Competent or Not Yet Competent then affix your
signature also the TESDA Rep/AC manager

Receive from TESDA Representative:

(Assessor’s Guide, Specific Instructions to the Candidate, CARS and Rating Sheets)

Receive from AC Processing Officer:

(Accomplished Application Form, SAG, Attendance Sheet)

Return to TESDA Representative:

(Assessor Guide, Specific Instructions to Candidates, Attendance Sheet, Rating Sheets, CARS.

Submits the following to the AC Manager for signature:

Accomplished Rating Sheet ,Accomplished CARS

Submits the complete set assessment documents to the AC Manager

Application Form, SAG, RWAC*

RWAC- Registry of Workers Assessed and Certified
