Sleeping problem; throbbing pain from head, back, knees, and joints, digestion issues,
reproductive concerns like dysmenorrhea or menopause, cases of sinusitis and vertigo, among
other illnesses, are the usual complaints of today’s moms.

And at times, moms are quick to blame whatever bodily pain they have to their daily chores –
juggling time among work, paying attention to their husbands, and taking care of the kids and
the household. They “solve” these stressors with a quick trip to the spa – which yes, soothes
them only temporarily, and not exactly addressing what keeps ailing them.

That’s what makes Peter Wong different and where he makes a difference.

From Hong Kong to Manila

A therapeutic healer from Hong Kong, Peter had a designer eyewear import business. Then
he met Bing, a Filipina, whom he asked to marry after seven days. But the business took a
downturn that the couple had to leave Hong Kong and came here to Manila. This was where
Peter retraced his gift for healing.

Coming from a third generation of Chinese healing reflexologists, Peter uses his hands to
heal various illnesses – from constipation; diabetes; kidney problem; migraine; skin problems
like soriasis, including those common illnesses that moms deal with.

Although he does not speak English, Peter’s wife, Bing (who is also a reflexologist) shares
that her husband has really the gift to cure even cervical cancer; mental disorder; myoma;
stroke, and among those patients who are already scheduled for operation. Translating for
Peter, Bing says Mr. Wong is also gifted to cure even spiritual problems. Those who were not
cured by Western medicine were healed by Peter’s hands. “In my past life, I was a monk and
a healer that’s why I have this gift of healing,” Peter says.

Finding “qi”
Peter helps their clients find their “qi” (pronounced chi) or the circulating life energy that in
Chinese philosophy is thought to be inherent in all things. In traditional Chinese medicine, qi
refers to the balance of negative and positive forms in the body believed to be essential for
good health.

Through his hands, Peter leads his clients to the path of wellness by addressing their illnesses
through the following:

Acupressure. The ancient therapy of focused foot (and hands and ears) is one of the healing
techniques Peter uses. He focuses on those body parts as these are the weakened parts of the
body. He taps subtle energy flows to revitalize the body. From there, the natural, internal
healing prospers, and the body responses and thus, functions properly.
Peter says the feet are a crucial part of the body to promote bodily health. By chopping,
pressing, punching, shaking, slapping, stretching, rocking, rotating the feet, these help cure a
number of illness. Reflexology also addresses emotional problems, stress-related disorders,
and tension.

Ventosa. Apart from reflexology that works on the reflex points and releases not only
blockages and toxins, even breaks down uric acid crystals concentrated around the reflex
point, Peter also employs ventosa massage cupping therapy.

As the name suggests, this technique uses plastic vacuum cups (or at times, bamboo and glass
cups) for stimulating the various channels, nerves, and qi and energy pathways. This
technique helps improve the blood supply and the reflex organs. According to Bing, Peter
also uses mentholated, massage oils and lotions that he prepares himself to use for ventosa.

Acupuncture – Without Needles. If others use microcurrent bio-therapy as an alternative

method of acupuncture, Peter applies acupuncture through mental telepathy – you would just
feel those needles penetrating your ill points.

A reike-like transference occurs, when the positive, healing energy Peter taps from the
Universe goes through your body without him actually touching you. This is said to have a
stimulating and flowing hot energy current, which alternates with cold, healing energy.

The Healing Hands

Easy-to-do lifestyle changes such as proper diet, eight hours of sleep, drinking warm water,
exercise, quitting vices like smoking and drinking could all help you achieve a balanced,
healthy body and life, Peter says.

With his 20 years of healing, Peter has already helped a lot of clients from all over the world
– citing an Italian whom he healed his severe headache problem and was cured three weeks
prior to his surgery; a Canadian child who was believed to be possessed and now is living
well; a client whom he cured of cervical cancer – among other success stories who got to
know his gift through published articles and by word-of-mouth. The Wong couple has a
modest place in La Fuerza Plaza 1, Chino Roces Ave., Makati, where they welcome clients
by appointment.

By achieving balance, we get rid of bodily toxins; improve blood circulation, and help our
internal organs function properly. “The internal parts of our body should be in balance,” Peter
says.
