With reference of above, we have received the reply that your good office is not in position to

provide the vehicle for official purpose and further directed this office to approach the
jurisdictional office/assessing officers for getting the same in case of requirement. In view of
direction received from your good office, undersigned request your kind attention to the
following submissions:

a. There has been precedence since years to send the requisitions for vehicle for all the
official purposes.
b. Official purposes are primarily for the purpose of inspection of the properties on the date,
which are finalized well in advance and after due confirmation from the assessee. Copy
of the notice regarding inspection is always forwarded to the assessing officer. In
addition to that collecting the data from other government organization like O/o Registrar
or Sub-Registrar offices located in different parts of the Bangalore city, especially in case
of land or flat in the apartment. Hence we don’t need the vehicle on daily basis but
generally for 7 to 8 days in a month.
c. Some properties are referred by the Assessing Officers, who are located at the
outstations like Mumbai, Delhi, Belgavi etc, where properties are located within
Bangalore. In such situation it is practically not possible to request for vehicle from those
out stationed assessing officers for collecting the data from local sub-registrar offices.
d. Subsequent to making the request to the jurisdictional office or the Assessing Officer if
they show their inability to provide the vehicle, what should be the next course of action?
e. Collection of data from the sub-registrar offices especially in case of land or apartment is
very important for accomplishment of justified valuation of the properties.
In view of above submission following suggestion is made hereunder:
i. As submitted above, practice of requisitioning the vehicle from your good office may
kindly be continued in the interest of work.
ii. In case your good office is not in a position to provide us the vehicle at the same time
concern Assessing Officer is unable to do the needful, standing permission may be
granted by your good office to hire the vehicle by this office. Subsequent to payment for
the hire, bill will be forwarded to your good office for the reimbursement.
iii. Vehicle will be hired from the service provider, authorized by your good office so that
only justified/approved amount can be paid to the service provider.
Based on the merit of the above submission and suggestion, necessary guideline may kindly be
given to us so that we can discharge our duties unhindered.
