Firmware Update Guide for D-200/D-300/D500Lite

Before starting firmware update, disconnect the unit


from the genset to prevent any faulty operation.

The Rainbow Plus program must be installed to PC.


Please check Rainbow Plus Installation Guide.

The RainbowPlus icon is on your desktop.


Double click this icon in order to start the RainbowPlus program.

The splash screen will come prior to
program execution.

From the Connection Manager screen select USB. Then click Connect.

The connection status is displayed in the bottom line.


If a controller is connected through the USB port, the connection will be detected and device
ID and SW/HW versions will appear.

Select Tools>Boot Mode menu.

A warning box will open. Click “OK” to continue. This will stop normal operation of the unit
and forces it to “BOOT” mode.

be disconnected, then reconnected. The
controller will be automatically recognized
by the PC and will appear as a Device
with Removable Storage referenced as
“CRP DISABLD”, which contains a filed
named “firmware.bin”.

Delete
“firmware.bin”
inside the “CRP
DSBLD” folder.

Paste or drug &
drop the new
firmware file into
CRP DSBLD.

After uploading of new firmware file is finished, disconnect USB cable and power-off the unit,
then turn the power on again to resume normal operation.

If a faulty software is uploaded to the unit, then the BOOT MODE


ACTIVATED will appear again at power-on.
A new firmware can be uploaded from there.
