INTRODUCTION

We’re from Excellent Company. We are pleased to submit our proposal to launch our latest
product which is the robotic cleaning vacuum with solar energy that is collaborating with Irabot.
Our company's credential is known to produce environmentally-friendly products or services.
In 2018 and 2019, our company has been awarded the Environmental Excellence Award for a
consecutive year. Moreover, we have collaborated with big companies like Sierra Club. In this
proposal, we are including our plan, schedule, staffing, budget, and authorization.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

Our objective is to introduce our latest product to encourage society to live more sustainable
lifestyles. A few months ago, we launched our product conference before introducing it to the
market. However, we received lots of complaints that users are concerned that they aren’t able
to gather solar energy at night since solar energy relies on the sun. To make everyone can use
this vacuum whenever they want, we are including a battery that is chargeable with solar energy
as a backup battery to solve every users’ concern. In other words, they can charge the battery
first in the afternoon and use it at night if they want to. The second problem is the vacuum is
too easy to overheat. So, we have installed a small fan in the vacuum to prevent overheating.
Furthermore, the benefits of carrying out this project are that we can promote the importance
of being environmentally friendly to society and gain back the trust and reputation of the users
and company.

PROPOSAL PLAN

To help you achieve your goals, we propose the following plan:

a. Market Analysis

For the market analysis, we have analyzed the market of Malaysia citizens, most of them clean
their house often by themselves. We know that cleaner accessories become important for
everyone, especially households because we have surveyed to analyze the household market.
As we know that they will choose our new products compared to other similar
products. Besides, we have invented new technologies for our new product. The popular new
technologies that customers like are solar energy, and closed-circuit television (CCTV)
cameras in the robotic vacuum, controlled by phone application, this is based on a survey.
b. Design Of Product

The idea to design our robotic cleaning vacuum is we found that nowadays people are busy
with their work and social life, they do not have enough time to clean up their house, so we
develop a robotic cleaning vacuum to help the customer clean their house. In the technology
era, our product has to be available with special functions and bring convenience to the
customers. So, we design the cleaning vacuum which can be controlled by using an application.
This made our product be artificial intelligence to attract the young generation's customers. To
get a competitive advantage, we also let our product be charged by solar energy to reduce
electric usage. In the meantime, people’s environmental awareness is becoming stronger, so
we have developed an environmentally friendly product.

From the safety issue, we found that crime rates in Malaysia are going higher. The society is
paying attention to safety issues, they are more concerned about their safety to prevent losses
and danger. So, we got an idea to come out with a daily use product with closed-circuit
television (CCTV) function in our cleaning vacuum to record the crime situation when it
happened and this can help police to target the suspicious character. We hope that our product
can increase the security level at home to prevent customers from the treat. We also install
smoke detectors in our product to make sure that during the fire incident, we can respond
quickly to it.

c. Production and Preparation of Product

The development of our product was estimated to finish in one year. At the first stage, we will
have a meeting to decide our product design and function. After that, we will start to find the
suppliers to get the sources of material at a reasonable price for standard quality and to
cooperate with IROBOT. IROBOT is a large and successful company that produces vacuum
cleaners. So, we collaborate with IROBOT to increase the reputation and awareness of our
company. After that, we will purchase new equipment with new technology in order to speed
up our production, and introduce it to the market as soon as possible. At this stage, we expect
it can be completed within two months.

At the second stage, we will produce the product in bulk after the product has been tested
successfully. While the product is being tested we will keep following up on the latest
information and try to improve it. Besides that, we will make sure the product has zero defects.
We must also maintain our machine regularly to prevent malfunction of the machine.
The third stage is to promote our product through social media to let more people know about
our product. We will use the power of internet celebrities to promote our product by using the
platforms for information flow to get the focus from the target market.

The last stage is we will collect the feedback and review of our product from the customer and
know about their expectation for the next version of the product. We estimate that we will
design a new version of our product in 2020 which is more advanced.

d. Soft Launch

The soft launch will be held on 26 January 2020 to 30 June 2020, the venue of a soft launch is
located at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC). The convention center is the ideal venue for us.
We have invited the very important persons (VIPs) to our soft launch party, the VIPs that we
decided to invite are YouTubers. Besides, we also invite the YB of our state to come to our
event. This is because it might increase awareness of our product to the market.

Other than that, we will take out 1000 units of products as the demo for those who attended the
soft launch event. Therefore, we can get the feedback from those users and modify it before we
fully launch our product. During the event, we have prepared some activities and freebies for
the attendants to increase the ambiance.

Last but not least, we will hold the pilot run with our final design products into the market for
testing to get the feedback and review from the audiences, then only we start to produce in bulk.
This stage is scheduled for five months because we are hoping to get more information and
reaction from the market.

e. Event Planning and Advertising

Nowadays, social media has become a very great platform to build great relationships with
customers. Social media is entirely free, it does not cost you any single cent. Examples of social
media are Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and so on. These three social media are the three
main platforms that should be focused on by an e-commerce business. Other than that, we will
make sure to respond faster to the customer’s problems but not only promote our products
endlessly. Besides, influencers play a vital role in social media too. We can find them to work
for us to promote our product, which is more effective.
Last but not least, our company can also advertise our product by holding an event. For example,
we can organize news conferences by briefing the new products to the market. The title of the
event is “Robots can be your family members”, but in this event, it will contain some costs
which include venue fees, banner, and journalist fees.

f. Price

Our robotic cleaning vacuum will be selling at the price of RM1800, this is because due to the
survey we have done before, our product is in high demand at the market. Therefore, we
decided to set our selling price this low and earn more profits on the product at low price points.
Moreover, we have a supplier which can provide the materials with a lower cost, it helps to
save some cost in production.

g. Distribution Channel

Our distribution channel is fully focused on an online platform. Nowadays, the online sales
channels have become a market trend and most of the customers live in urban areas prefer
online shopping. The customers will go through entirely via an online platform when
purchasing our product. It provides convenience for them where the customers no need to step
out from their homes to search for our products at the electronic outlets. We also have an e-
commerce showroom of our products for the customers where they can get the information
about the products such as size, battery capacity, and so on. Three-dimensional experience also
will be made available for the customers to have virtual hands-on experience on the product.
There will also be an after-sales service for the customers once they purchase our product,
which is a one year warranty for the product. If there was a problem with the product within
the warranty period, the customer can send it back to the company to repair it for free.

STAFFING

This project will be headed by Mr. Chong Xiao Xian, Mr. Ong Kean Wei and Mr Tan Soon
Kit. Mr Chong Xiao Xian had invaluable knowledge in this technology field for more than 8
years. He graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor Degree in Information
Technology. In 2017, he won the best technologician in Malaysia and was rewarded by Dato
Tan Cheng Lok. He has worked for the Malaysia top one technology company previously and
developed apps to help his company to gain the profit.

Mr. Ong Kean Wei, who has more than 10 years of experience in the field of human resource.
He graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with a Master Degree in Human Resource.
By his invaluable experience in this field, he has won the best human resource management
award in Malaysia during 2018 and was rewarded by Dato Sri’ Najib Razak. He has helped his
previous company keep improving by recruiting the talents with his experience.

Mr Tan Soon Kit, who has graduated from University of Nottingham with a Bachelor Degree
in Marketing. He has more than 7 years of marketing experience. He has won the top 10
marketing sales award of Malaysia in 2019 and he was rewarded by Tun Mahathir Mohamad.
When he was in his previous company, he hit the company target and broke the record of most
sales in the company.
