Problem formulation
OBJECTIVES
• To provide an immersive experience for students to understand the problem
• To gather insights by doing what the users do (identify challenges, motivations,
etc.), live, beliefs, etc.
• To analyse root causes of the problem
• To define relevant system of the problem
• To gather and identify the user’s needs in the project.

Ideation
OBJECTIVES
• To brainstorm and contribute ideas.
• To develop a concept from the ideas which can potentially address the
user’s need(s).
• To articulate how the user will go through their day-to-day lives (ideal
user journey) using the concept.

Prototyping
OBJECTIVE
• To communicate and represent the solution more effectively.
