Absentee Ballots Available Thursday, December 23rd for

School Special Elections
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA—Voters from the Linn-Mar, College Community, and North-Linn
Community School Districts will vote February 1, 2011, on individual public measures. Absentee
ballots for these special elections will be available Thursday, December 23, in the Linn County
Elections Office at Linn County West, 2500 Edgewood Rd. SW in Cedar Rapids. Specific
information about each election is found below.

Voters may vote absentee in person at the Elections Office Monday through Friday between the
hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Request forms for absentee ballots may also be downloaded from the
Linn County website at www.linncounty.org/auditor. Absentee ballots returned by mail must be
postmarked by January 31, 2011.

or by calling (319) 892-5300.

The poll locations for each jurisdiction are listed below. Poll hours are 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Friday, January 28 Last Day to Request an Absentee be Mailed
Monday, January 31 Last Day to Vote Absentee at Elections Office
Tuesday, February 1 ELECTION DAY
Monday, February 7 Canvass of Votes
Thursday, February 10 Last Day to Request a Recount (3rd day after Canvass)
Monday, February 28 Last Day to Contest the Election (20th day after Canvass)
