FITH WORKSHOP
PASSIVE VOICE (PRESENTE AND PAST SIMPLE)
FROM MAY 11TH TO MAY 15TH
Email: englishteachermsh2020 @gmail.com

TOPIC: VOZ PASIVA (PASSIVE VOICE )

página de YOU TUBE:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3mBFztJCeU

a. Passive voice-english grammar/ English 4u

Realice los ejercicios 3, 5 y 6

b. Passive voice exercises –elementary and…-Agenda web

Realice los ejercicios 4, 5, 8, 17 y 18

A. Shakespeare wrote Romeo and Juliet (Shakespeare escribió Romeo y Julieta). ( Tiempo PASADO SIMPLE)

B. Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare.

manera:

A: SUJETO + VERBO (PASADO) + COMPLEMENTO

Shakespeare + wrote + Romeo and Juliet

B: OBJETO DIRECTO + PASADO DEL VERBO TO BE (WAS/WERE) + VERBO PRINCIPAL (PASADO PARTICIPIO) + C

Romeo and Juliet + was + written + by William Shakespeare.

Recuerda que cuando queremos añadir el complemento agente usamos “by”, no “for”: by William Shakespeare.

IMPORTANTE SABER QUE NO TODAS LAS ORACIONES SE PUEDEN TRANSFORMAR DE VOZ ACTIVA A VOZ PASIVA. SOLO
AQUELLAS QUE TIENEN OBJETO DIRECTO. PARA RECONOCER EL OBJETO DIRECTO EN UNA ORACIÓN NOS
PREGUNTAMOS: QUE o QUIÉN MÁS EL VERBO. POR EJEMPLO: EN LA ORACIÓN “A” NOS PREGUNTARÍAMOS QUÉ
ESCRIBIÓ WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE, LA RESPUESTA SERÍA, ROMEO AND JULIET Y ESTE SERÍA EL OBJETO DIRECTO O
DIRECT OBJECT.

ES TAMBIÉN IMPORTANTE QUE CONJUGUES BIEN EL VERBO “TO BE” Y QUE TE ASEGURES DE QUE EL PARTICIPIO
PASADO SEA EL CORRECTO, ESPECIALMENTE EN LOS VERBOS IRREGULARES:

He was arrested last night ( Él fue detenido anoche).

Aquí no necesitamos decir “The police arrested him” (“La policía lo detuvo”), pues es obvio que solo la policía tiene
competencias para llevar a cabo una detención.

cabo:

Chocolate eggs are made with milk and cocoa. The mixture is then poured into moulds (Los huevos de chocolate se
hacen con leche y cacao. Después se vierte la mezcla en moldes).

4. Para evitar responsabilidades

We have cancelled your flight (nosotros hemos cancelado su vuelo)… aunque eso fuera lo que ocurrió la aerolínea usa la
voz pasiva para evitar su responsabilidad. Entonces prefiere utilizar la siguiente voz pasiva:

Your flight has been cancelled.

PRESENTE PASADO PARTICIPIO GERUNDIO/PROGRESIVO

VERBO AM / IS / ARE WAS / WERE BEEN BEING
TO BE (SER O ESTAR)

La estructura básica es: sujeto + (to be) + participio pasado.
preguntas.
