Q.1 Choose questions for 8 marks. (i) A 6 bit DAC has a reference voltage (Vref) of 1.8V. Find the output voltage 01 corresponding to digital input of 110110. (ii) Discuss glitches by taking an arbitrary example considering extreme change. 02 For the example taken, show that thermometer code can be used to minimize Glitches. (iii) An eight-bit D/A converter has step size of 10mV. Determine the full-scale 02 output and percentage resolution. (iv) Compare average conversion time of an eight-bit Dual Slope A/D converter 02 with that of an eight-bit successive approximation type A/D converter if both are working at clock frequency of 10MHz. (v) Two binary numbers A = 11001011 and B = 11010100 are applied to the 8-bit 02 magnitude comparator. Determine the states of the outputs on each comparator. (vi) A half Adder circuit has 02 inputs A & B as shown in Fig.1. Draw the output 02 waveform of Sum (S) and Carry (C).
